The show opens with silent scenes of the Namibian shoreline as huge waves crash against the desert dunes.
Over five years ago, sixteen castaways were stranded in the African jungle to battle it out in the first installment of the greatest social experiment in the world.
Scenes of the season one cast walking through the Congo jungle are shown, followed by a scene of Tommy, Ashley and Alaina in the final three.
Nate flips the vote with Ashley’s name on it.
“Winner of Survivor: The Congo, Ashley.”
Since then, one hundred and thirty six castaways have fought for the title of sole survivor…
Scenes of previous winners being announced are shown.
“Winner of Survivor: Solomon Islands, Holly!”
“Bryan!”
“Jacob!”
And every moment since…
A scene of Jhon and Dusty competing in the first ever fire-making elimination is shown.
Lan and Javi are shown playing both of their idols as the camera turns to Jonas in shock.
Joey is shown winning his way back into the game in Chile.
...has led to this.
The camera shows a helicopter full of some of the castaways of the new season and zooms in on Alex.
“This is our last chance to make our mark, and everyone is here for the same thing. It’s do or die.”
The camera turns to Kenny.
“Some of us have played two or three times already, but this is a new level of competition. It’s time for me to finally win something other than Endurance.”
Vova is shown fashioning a fake idol turned away from the others.
“I’ve had the win taken away from me twice now. You’re looking at the winner of Survivor: Namibia, I’m pullin out all the stops.”
Three helicopters are shown landing on the beach and the twenty-four castaways begin to exit.
For the final season of Survivor, we’re back to where it all started, Africa. These twenty-four all-stars will compete in the biggest battle this series has ever seen, and only one will become the final sole survivor.
Thirty-nine days, twenty-four people, ONE survivor.
The cast approaches Nate on the beach and stands in a line in front of him.
Welcome, everyone, to the eleventh and final season of Survivor.
The twenty-four castaways clap and cheer.
Obviously we had to assemble the best group possible from the past ten seasons, and, of course, we can’t just split you up randomly. There’s gotta be a gimmick.
“I hope it’s based on race,” says James.
“Nah, there’s too many blacks,” Ashley interjects.
“Ash you can’t say that!!!” Cole screams.
Alright, shut the f*ck up, it’s not based on race.
Stan raises a hand and opens his mouth.
It’s not 3.4 tribes of 7 either Stan…
Once again, you all will be divided up by how you’re known to play the game. There will be two tribes. The first tribe will be in purple, and will be the Leeu tribe…

Nate throws a bag of purple buffs to the first tribe and a bag of orange to the second.
This game is played in a lot of different approaches, and some have won by playing aggressively, while others have quietly snagged the win. Making big moves can be impressive, but lots of small moves can be just as rewarding. Regardless of which path you think is best, it’s time to push you out of your comfort zones.
Welcome to Survivor: Namibia - The Final Showdown...Daring vs. Determined.
Leeu in purple buffs, you are the Daring tribe. You thrive on big moves, and aggressive gameplay to get to the end and win.
Khori in orange buffs, you are the Determined tribe, and you thrive in the game by playing a quiet and calculated game.
Regardless of your style, every tribe needs a mixture of daring and determined to work, so some of y’all are gonna have to switch it up a bit. Should make for an interesting start to a very long game.
Anyone feel like they should be on the other tribe?
Everyone raises their hand.
Sucks to suck, I make the decisions, go fall into the campfire.
Idols are in play this season, more info on that later (do not message me about it). The first challenge will be semi-live and will start tomorrow at 6 pm site time. Only other thing I'll say before y'all head off is to never get comfortable and expect the unexpected. This is all-stars, and one thing is for sure. Whoever makes it out of this with the win has got their work cut out for them.
I’ll let you all start off to your camps…
Nate throws a map to each tribe.
And I’ll see you all for your first challenge tomorrow.
