DANIEL: Who did you want to target after merge? Who did you not trust the most? And did you ever sway your "alliances" decisions to take out a different player? Well, I thought it was just going to be boys vs. girls based on original tribes and had no clue about vets and newbies and cross tribal alliances. Since I didn't really connect with the boys initially and didn't have alliances with them, my initial thoughts at the merge were "I WANT TO FLIP TO THE OTHER SIDE BADLY". So yeah I was ready to target all the guys lol and initially trusted none of them - so to answer your second question, all the boys. This did change throughout the merge of course. I swayed the decision in favor of taking you out when the vote was originally going to be Brooke. With other votes everyone was pretty much on the same page I feel.

Daniel, what was your rationale for taking Holly to the Final 2 over Kailey? Do you believe your chances of winning are better against Holly, or was it done to stay loyal/keep your word? I did it out of sheer loyalty since Holly was the very first person in this game to talk game with me. I would not be able to forgive myself had I voted her out since she did give me new life in this game when I felt completely alone. In addition, I personally do not respect taking the easy beat to the finale. If you want to be the best, then beat the best. I am well aware that my chances against Holly are MUCH smaller. Daniel & Holly, If the criteria to win the game was based on these three aspects: social game, strategic game, and competitions. Explain why you believe you outplayed your opposition in at least two of the three. Let me start with competitions, since that one is the most obvious as I won 5. Then secondly I would say social game. While I did not talk AS MUCH as Holly and did not have as much connections, I did play a much cleaner social game and kept it as real as I could with people. The only times that I really lied to people were first of all the Stan vote when to Jimmy/Outlast I made it seem like I was on board with voting Brooke when I wasn't sure what we were gonna do yet, and to Brooke when I told her she was fine when I already voted her out. At other times I was very upfront with people. I did damage control with Jimmy/Outlast after the Stan vote, I told Outlast he was going when he asked, and I declined a Final 2 deal that Jimmy offered. I wasn't interested in making deals that I knew I wouldn't be able to keep and played a more genuine and cleaner social game than Holly.

Last question: did you play the quiet game and let holly "get the blood on her hands" on purpose because you knew it would make you look like you played clean and look innocent and likable to the jury?

Daniel, from my view and the view of many others, you came off as a follower. I should've seen it when you voted out Stan with Holly, but you guys just threw it under the rug and tried to make it seem like you had to do it, which wasn't really true, you guys could've forced a tie at F6 with Kailey. I feel you would've been gone awhile ago, but I'm not sure seeing you and Holly were soooo close. My question is, did you do anything that wasn't influenced by Holly, other than winning a busload of immunities? Also, on a scale of 1-10, rate each merge members game, please, and thank you. I did many things that weren't influenced by Holly and most voting decisions we discussed among the three of us what we were going to do. I never needed convincing from Holly in order to get me to vote for a certain person and most votes were pretty straightforward anyway as we had a Final 5 and within that a Final 3. The most notable things that weren't influenced by Holly were my role in the Stan vote which was an important vote for me personally as I had zero ties with him and me actually throwing an immunity challenge which shows that I'm not just here by immunity wins. Superboy - 7: he definitely had the drive and motivation to do well, but became a victim of new alliances forming at the merge and people going back on their word to him. JC - 7: strong competitor, but she didn't get a chance to really shine and was taken out for her connections with Brooke initially. Stan - 8: had he survived that round, I think he might have been able to rally up troops to take over the game as he was pretty close with all the guys. Brooke - 9: very strong in competitions, but also socially she is very strong in the sense that she definitely knows how to approach people and can convince them to work with her. She gave such a good argument of why her and I should work together, and while I really wanted her gone initially as well, by the time she was voted out I felt very bad burning that bridge. Magnum - 6: he didn't give up, regardless of his position, but I feel like if he would have pushed harder he might have been able to force a tie at F6. Outlast - 9: he was responsible for JC's boot and that was one of the bigger moves in the game. Like I said in the rites, he had a hand in voting a lot of people out but still had the jury rooting for him. Jimmy - 8: he showed that you don't need to be dominating in challenges to make it far. He was great socially and offered me a deal that was hard to refuse at the end. Kailey - 7: she is seen as a follower and I get that since she didn't win competitions and was part of our threesome. However, she did have a voice and was the one who pushed the hardest for Brooke to go.

DANIEL: My question is basically the same that everyone else has made. Did you do anything other than win competitions. And what role did you play in the Holly/Kailey alliance? We're any ideas initiated by you? Well my most important role was keeping immunity out of the hands of those we were targeting However, also from a strategic point of view I did have a say in each and every vote. Most of them were pretty clean cut and didn't need much discussing. The Stan vote did, and after Kailey pushed for you to go I gave them a few arguments why it was better to try and get Stan out that round. That idea was initiated by me. Also, before that actually, it was me who voiced my concerns about the boys potentially sticking together after Outlast didn't want to vote for Magnum in the round that JC left. Long story short, I did think strategically throughout the whole game and was aware of potential threats to our alliance of three. I definitely didn't just sit and listen to what Holly wanted to do. Other things I did other than just win competitions was to throw one, and to take Holly with me to the Final 2... which was my idea, not anybody else's and it is a crucial decision in the game.

Last question: did you play the quiet game and let holly "get the blood on her hands" on purpose because you knew it would make you look like you played clean and look innocent and likable to the jury? No, not at all. If I were out to look good in front of the jury then I should have taken Kailey to the Final 2 instead of Holly because it was clear from reading Ponderosa that there was a lot of respect for Holly's game regardless and beating her is going to be difficult. So it is no jury management on my part, I just play my game. I simply chose to play the clean game because there was no reason for me to play dirty. I won a lot of challenges, so I didn't need to find devious ways to keep myself safe. I understand that when you feel vulnerable you go and make some deals with people that you cannot keep later in the game, but that wasn't the case for me.

Congratulations to you both for making the final two! I personally have no issues with either of you or how either of you played your individual game. (Although I am very surprised to hear it was Holly that threw away the vote the week Brooke got voted out) Anyways, my question probably won't be as exciting as the others. My question to both of you is, Can you each name ONE thing that you are proud of doing during the game, and also ONE thing you each regret doing. One thing that I am proud of is how I went from seen as "a KOB" / inactive to someone dominating in challenges and regardless of how threatening my challenge performance was making it to the end. Almost every round, someone was voted out over someone else based on their better challenge performance. I was not though and made it here. My regret, and this may sound like the stupidest thing but I really don't have regrets about how I played the game strategically, is the b*tch comment I made at Stan pre-merge. I just got a little frustrated that I was seen as inactive while I did care about the game a lot, but I could have handled that differently.

Closing Statement
Alright I figured if there are follow ups just feel free to ask. I've said pretty much everything that I wanted to say, so thanks a lot for the questions and I hope my answers showed that I didn't just sit and voted with my alliance. Besides being a force in challenges, I was actually constantly thinking of how to protect us against a potential regrouping of some of the guys, I was part of the decision making, and in the Stan vote, one of the votes that wasn't straightforward, I had a huge role in pushing for him to go. I came off as a threat due to my challenge performance, but I still survived the rounds that I was vulnerable, which shows that I am not just here because of challenge wins but also because of the connections that I had. I overcame a bad first impression that I left pre-merge due to my inability to make it to live challenges, a lack of alliances pre-merge, and a target on my back post-merge.
I loved playing with you all, this was a super fun game and Nate did a great job hosting. I'll truly miss it. I think even though Holly and I are both sitting here and were in the same alliance, we both deserve it in completely different ways so it might be hard to compare really, so good luck with your votes!

Thank you Holly and Daniel.
Turns to the jury.
I hope tonight has helped you all in deciding who you will vote for to win. Good luck in your decision. It is now time to vote. When you are ready, go down to the voting confessional and write down the person who you think should win this game. The person with the most votes will win the title of Sole Survivor of Survivor: Solomon Islands.
Jurors, please PM me your vote along with a brief message, preferably by noon tomorrow.

You all know I would love to read these votes, but we're going to have to wait till we get back to the states. Thank you all for a great season, and I will see you soon.
