Individual Immunity Challenge #8 Results Compass Rose (Inspired by Survivor: Cook Islands)
Everyone get in the middle and we'll start.
The three survivors all walk over to the middle of the compass and get ready to run to a different station.
Survivors ready...GO!
All three take off in different directions and rip the covers off their station.
There are four parts. One is a slider puzzle. The second is a quiz on quotes from past eliminated players. The third has ten morphed faces of past players and the final part is a word puzzle. Once someone finishes all four, they can search for the key to immunity.
Kailey starts at the word puzzle and starts moving around the pieces quickly, trying to figure out the phrase. In the mean time, Daniel starts working on the slider puzzle, quickly shoving pieces back and forth while Holly starts trying to figure out which quote goes with which.
Each part is hard in it's own way. If you fall behind in the first part, that doesn't mean it's over in the slightest. Keep pushing. Looks like Holly is figuring out the quotes, and is almost done.
Holly finishes and raises her arms for Nate to come check.
Holly, you're good!
Holly opens up the first set of coordinates and runs over to the fourth part which is the Faces morphed together.
Holly is now on her second station. Daniel and Kailey look like they are almost done as well.
Daniel shoves the final piece of the slider puzzle and Nate goes to check it.
Daniel is good!
Kailey raises her hands right after and Nate gives her the okay. Both Daniel and Kailey move on. Daniel begins on the quotes, while Kailey moves over to Daniel's first spot.
Everyone is now working on their second station!
Holly quickly figures out the faces and after a few minutes raises her hands.
Holly is good! You may move on to your third set of coordinates!
Shortly after, Daniel finishes the quotes and frantically gets Nate to come over.
Daniel, you are good! Move on! Daniel is catching up to Holly. They are now both starting their third part. Holly is on the word puzzle and Daniel is on the Face Morphs!
Kailey quickly tries to finish the slider puzzle as the other two make progress on their third station.
Don't freak out, there are still two more parts and the task of finding that chest.
Kailey finally finishes the slider puzzle and raises her hands.
Kailey you may move on to the third part!
Kailey runs over to the quotes part and starts working.
After this part, only one more coordinate needed to find the chest.
Daniel quickly solves the Face Morphs and raises his hands.
Daniel is good and now has the lead, moving on to his final part!
Holly frantically works on the word puzzle but has trouble figuring it out, while Kailey starts to figure out the quotes part. Daniel also begins working on the quotes across from Kailey, with a wall separating the two.
As Daniel starts to figure out the quotes quickly, Holly raises her hands.
Holly, you may move on to the final stage!
Holly bolts over to the slider puzzle, while Kailey finishes the third part. Daniel is close to finishing the fourth part.
Kailey, you may move on to part four as well!
Just as Kailey and Holly begin the fourth part, Daniel raises his hand and Nate goes over to check.
You're good! Daniel may move on to finding the chest buried in the sand.
While the girls keep trying to figure out their station, Daniel puts the coordinates together and then looks around to where he needs to go, then bolts over to the spot he thinks it is.
As Daniel begins digging, Holly raises her hand and Nate runs over to check.
Holly may move on!
Holly runs over to put the coordinates together, but Daniel starts yanking the chest out of the sand and opens it. He pulls out the key and runs over to his flag and releases it.
DANIEL WINS THE FINAL IMMUNITY!
Holly and Kailey drop what they're doing and look bummed. They all meet back at the mat and Nate puts the immunity around Daniel's neck.
Daniel, cannot be voted out at tonight's tribal and will have the final vote on who to bring with him to the final two. Holly, Kailey, one of you are going to the jury tonight. Head back to camp guys. I'll see you tonight at tribal.

Part One Players had to solve a slider puzzle and relate the phrase back to me as quickly as possible.
Part Two Players had to figure out which quote belonged to who. 1. "I came into this thinking I was in a good position, but when things got really serious, the people who apparently had my back, didn't." 2. “My time on the island was fun at first but it sort of turned into a grind towards the end. There are people in this game that have zero morals and actually get joy out of blindsides. There are so many better ways to play the game. If I wasn't taken out when I was I think I had a shot to win this game so it's a little disappointing because I know I'm better than my placement shows.” 3. “It was clear to me quickly after the merge that I had no power and it was only a matter of time before the game was over for me.” 4. “I had a great experience on the island and I made a lot of new friends in the process. I simply got outplayed and it's a shame I couldn't turn the tables instead.” 5. “Was it smart to get me out? More than likely, but was I a threat? Not really. I don't think I came into this game wanting to win and that was my downfall. I played an honest and what I like to think was a respectful game. If people don't see it that way, then so be it.” 6. “Apparently, honesty and loyalty, the two values that are most important to me mean nothing to some people. That is what has me sitting here, but at least I can say I kept my word.” 7. "I had a pretty good time, there were some bumps here and there. You've just got to make sure you pick the right people to work with in this game, or you'll be gone sooner than later. Or sooner in the later, if you get what I'm saying."
1. Superboy 2. Jimmy 3. Magnum 4. Stan 5. Brooke 6. JC 7. Outlast
Part Three Players had to figure out which two faces were morphed together in each picture as quickly as possible.
1. Jimmy and Outlast 2. Brooke and Superboy 3. Magnum and KOB 4. JC and Morgan 5. Stan and Tayvie 6. Magnum and Glinda 7. Danielle and JC 8. Jimmy and Brooke 9. Outlast and Danielle 10. KOB and Shiloh
Part Four Players had to figure out a word puzzle as quickly as possible when given letters jumbled together and a phrase blank.
The answer is: SOLVING THESE WORDS QUICKLY GRANTS SAFETY.

Days 38-39 Questions
1. How are you going to make this decision on who to bring with you to the final two? (Just for Daniel)
1. What do you think Daniel's decision will be and why do you think this? (Just for Holly and Kailey)
2. How do you think the jurors will decide their votes? Is this good or bad for you if you made the final 2?
3. What do you think of Daniel winning the final immunity?
4. How do you think you would be treated by the jurors if you made the final two?

Final Tribal Council: Daniel vs. Holly
Daniel and Holly walk up to the tribal council area for the final time with their torches lit. They make their way inside and set their torches at the back, then sit down on the two stumps over in the corner, facing the jury section.
We'll now bring in the jury...JC, Stan, Brooke, Magnum, Outlast, Jimmy, and Kailey voted out at the last tribal council.
The jurors walk in and sit down, eager to rip apart the final two.
I'd like to start off this tribal council by congratulating the two of you for making it to the final two. It's been thirty-nine long days on these islands, but it's about to come to an end, and one of you will receive the title of Sole Survivor of Survivor 3.
Tonight, the power switches from you two over to the seven players you had a hand in voting off over the past weeks of this game. The seven jurors will each cast a vote on which person they want to win the game by the end of tonight. But before that happens, you both will have a chance to sway them one way or the other. Here's how it will work.
The two of you will each start with a brief opening statement(no longer than 10 sentences) to present to the jurors. After that is done, one by one, the jurors will be given the chance to ask you questions. It can be either a question for each of you, a question for just one of you, or possibly just a statement. Whatever it is, think long and hard about your responses because it could mean the difference from first and second place. Let's get started.
Daniel and Holly, please post your opening statements here. Once both have given their opening statements, the jurors may ask their questions, whenever they'd like within the next two days. The jurors also need to send me their vote by PM by the end of the questions and the closing statements. Thank you.

Opening Statement
Deaaaaaaaaaar Jury I'm super honored to be sitting here in the Final 2 and would have never thought I'd make it this far. Coming into the game I wasn't even sure how to really play and how people communicate since I'm used to AIM communication. Therefore the Tribal phase was quite a struggle as I never had any alliances. This changed when we merged and when Holly dropped me a PM to say hi basically and said that if I had game to talk about I could, and that's when our relationship in this game started and two alliances were born, the newbies alliance and within that the threesome consisting of Holly/Kailey/myself.
One can say that I only won challenges and followed Holly's lead, but that's not exactly how it went down as we often discussed the votes among the three of us before doing anything AND there was really no reason for me to go against Holly as she had my back until the Final 3. I think I made the best of the cards that I was dealt with, even though I may have had a better chance had I voted Holly out. If you want to be the best, you have to beat the best! Looking forward to see what you have to say and best of luck to you Holly <3

Note to All: If I don't receive all votes by Noon Thursday, there won't e a reunion for a few days because I will be busy over the weekend. If I get all votes by then, the reunion will be posted on Thursday. You don't necessarily need to be there when it starts because I will post questions for you all in one post and you guys can answer them and fight with each other on your own.

Holly turns to face the jury.
Well, here we are. I guess I'll start by telling you my mindset in this game. When I came into this game, I told myself one thing and one thing only. I promised myself that no matter what, I wouldn't let someone else make decisions for me, because that's not the type of person that I am, I wanted to make sure that I made my way through the game using my own head and making my own decisions, regardless of the consequences. It's served me well up until this point. I also had one more rule for myself that I followed. I may have lied to just about everyone, but there were two people I kept complete and total loyalty to and no matter what, and I'm sure you've realized that those two people were Kailey and Daniel. Early on in the merge I made a promise to Kailey and Daniel that we would be the final three. So no matter how threatening Daniel was, I wouldn't vote him out, no matter what, because I wouldn't break my promise to him. On the flip side, I was a liar. I will own up to that completely. I have lied to, switched around, manipulated, and attempted to blindside people. I played a cold ruthless strategic game, but that's the game I stuck to. I hope you all can at least recognize that. Thank you, it was an honor and great fun to play with all of you, and I look forward to your questions and comments.

I just want to say that at this moment I have literally no idea who I am voting for. The answers to these questions along with the questions from my fellow jury members will help me decide who deserves this most.
Daniel, did you make any big moves in this game that Holly or someone else did not initiate? Because to the rest of you you just followed her around like a little lost puppy dog.
Holly, why did you find it so hard to be honest to everyone else? Just own up to the big moves you were making. I would have respected you a hell of a lot more if you said to my face "hey b*tch, I don't trust you. Peace."

Holly from my assumption, Daniel made the same strategic moves that you did but for some reason he didn't have to be a b*tch about it or come off as a compulsive liar. He also owned you in challenges. Lying is part of this game but what I don't respect about your game is that you actually seemed to enjoy blindsiding your "friends" because in our PM's you told me you were embracing the villain side multiple times. You made me out to be untrustworthy when all I did was tell JC and Outlast they were going home. Really? God forbid somebody not be blindsided at tribal council. Yes revoting could happen in this game but it's not an excuse for blindsiding people and liking it. Besides if the only reason you had a problem with me telling two people they were going home was because you were worried about revotes, why were you still mad that they weren't blindsided AFTER the votes were read? I don't get it. Your game was sloppy. My question for you is to compare each juror to a real life survivor player and why?
Daniel. You have a nice resume. I feel like you lost the game with who you took the finals though. However I suspect that you did a lot more than what you appeared to do and I don't think you were carried to the end. Holly may have been the vocal leader and messaged every member of the game 100 times but that doesn't mean she ran you. I don't know for sure but it's just what I suspect. So my question for you to name some moves that were your idea and not hers? Basically I want to see if you can show me and the other jurors that you were more than a vote in this game.

That's a good question, and it's something I've thought a lot about, and it's really a two part answer, the first part being from a strategic standpoint. I couldn't say these things because it puts up a red flag and gives the person an opportunity to fight back and possibly turn the tables on me. I can't afford to make that mistake. I also looked at it from an emotional standpoint, and I know I was wrong, but to me, I'd rather be blindsided and feel outwitted and outplayed by the person who did it to me. It became apparent very early that most people don't feel the same way that I do about it, but at that point, I wasn't going to be fake and play a bunch of different games, so I stuck to it, ready to own up to it later.

Here are a couple of questions:
HOLLY: Why did you have to lie to get your way? Why do you want to "embrace the villain side"?
DANIEL: Who did you want to target after merge? Who did you not trust the most? And did you ever sway your "alliances" decisions to take out a different player?

Okay, well I think the players most suited to each of our players would probably be... (Disclaimer, these aren't gender-specific, these are based on my interpretation of gameplay)
JC: I see JC as Rupert Boneham. She was always in 'on' mode in the game, and played a very honest game and was adamant about playing with that playing mindset.
Stan: Stan was a lot like Jonathan Penner I think, he was smart, funny and honest, and always making plans.
Brooke: Brooke to me played a lot like Sandra Diaz-Twine, she would be willing to work with whoever to get herself further, and made sure not to be stuck anytime, and always had a plan, and I like that game.
Magnum: Magnum played a very quiet game, and I didn't get to know him all that well, but I feel like I could compare him to Earl Cole, because everybody liked him and he was just genuinely nice and a smart guy too.
Outlast: Tyson Apostol. Outlast was smart, likable, funny, always one of the consistently better people in challenges, and he was a huge threat for all those reasons.
Jimmy: I feel you played like Kelly Wiglesworth, not for just the bad reasons either, you were friendly with everybody, and most people liked you, but you also did play both sides, which I can respect as a good social game, but it wasn't good for me to play with you while you using that strategy.
Kailey: I see Kailey as having played a lot like Natalie White, and before you think of that as an insult, please consider this, Kailey played a very quiet game and never stepped on anybody's toes in the process. That's basically the perfect social game to a T. And while most people don't respect that game, I think any game that the player is comfortable playing and gets them far is a worthy game to play.
