Welcome to the Solomon Islands! A chain of islands with years of history, and beautiful landscape. This will be the backdrop our third season of Survivor, where sixteen new castaways will live for over a month, battling it out to win the grand prize of a million dollars! In our last two seasons, many blindsides and big moves have been made, and some of these have happened all because of a small little necklace called a Hidden Idol. This season, the hidden idol will be erased from the game. How will these sixteen castaways survive the game without the most powerful object in the game? And how will they manage to get along when they find out that the tribes will be split by gender? We’re about to find out!
Sixteen people, thirty-nine days, ONE survivor! This is Survivor: Solomon Islands!

Final Tribal Council
The sixteen new castaways walk in to view, towards Nate Probst who is waiting for them at a wooden platform. They all get to the spot where Nate is waiting where there are two large mats across from him, one blue and one yellow. They all stop and stand in between the two platforms.
Welcome everyone, to Survivor: Solomon Islands.
The contestants clap and get excited to start.
Now, the past two seasons, we've had some interesting twists and turns with the mutiny twist, three tribe twist, temptation island, etc. And what would Survivor be without a new, special change to the game?
Quite different that last season, this time, you sixteen will be divided into two tribes of eight. Not only this, but you will be divided by gender. It's a good old-fashioned battle of the sexes.
The contestants all look excited and start sizing up the other people of their sex.
Alright, so ladies, if you all could step over to the YELLOW mat, please.
You're the Sambora tribe.
Nate throws eight yellow buffs over to the girls.
Now the boys...could you please move over to the BLUE mat. Thank you.
The eight men all move over to the blue mat together.
You guys are the Tapurai tribe.
Nate throws eight blue buffs over to the guys.
Now, every few days, the two tribes are going to be competing in an Immunity challenge. The winning tribe will have immunity from tribal council from that night. The losing tribe, you guys will have to head to tribal council where you will vote for one person to be kicked off your tribe for good. This pattern will continue until you all merge, where the remaining people will compete for Individual Immunity. In the end, one of you will be left, and will win the million dollars and join the Hall of Fame with Rbiash and Brian, previous winners of Survivor.
Now before I send you all off to your tribe camps, I have one more twist to tell you about...
During the past two seasons, hidden immunity idols have played a large part in how the game has progressed. In fact, both winners can dedicate their win in part to playing an idol at the right moment. Well, this season I'm going to make it that much harder to win this game. No more idols, you staying in this game is solely based on your relationships in this game, and you winning those challenges. No more second chances. Fight hard guys, this is going to be a tough 39 days. Here are your maps.
Nate throws each tribe a map.
Head off to your camps. I'll see you all soon for your first immunity challenge.
The two tribes head off in opposite directions to their camps.
The first immunity challenge will be available tonight. You will be doing this challenge individually, but there are three different small parts to the challenge. One part is a puzzle, one part is kind of a hidden message puzzle, and the third part is a number puzzle. Three of you can do the puzzle, two can do the hidden message, and three can do the number puzzle. Figure that out before you do the challenge, and wait for me to post the actual challenge before you ask to do it, which will be later tonight.
