Beautiful shots of islands of Japan are shown, and two boats are shown speeding through the ocean, each holding five people.
Japan, a series of islands off the coast of Asia, will be the home of the fourth season of Survivor. The site of immense amounts of warfare in it's history, is the perfect backdrop for the biggest battle in Survivor history. With the biggest cast ever, and the return of ten notorious past players of the show, along with ten players completely new to the game but ready to give it all they have, this is Survivor: Japan, Fans vs. Favorites.
Camera cuts to Nate Probst standing on a dangerous cliff, yelling at the camera.
Thirty-nine days, twenty people, one survivor!

How's it going everyone? I'm sure you're all wondering why there's only ten of you. Let's go ahead and bring in your competition. Two new boats come speeding by the island and make their way to the beach, and each one get's out one by one.
Outlast from Survivor: Solomon Islands. He had power until the final five when he and his partner Jimmy, realized they were on the outs of their alliance. Stan from Survivor: Solomon Islands. Out early in the merge, due to the newbie alliance taking over the game, but always eager to prove he's here to play. Kaitlyn from Survivor: Madagascar. Part of the Fana Loka three that dominated the post-merge game, but fell short at the end to winner, Brian. Tre6 from Survivor: Madagascar. The dark horse of Survivor 2, Tre made it all the way to the final four as the only Indri member left, but was cut at the end due to his popularity in the jury. Jhonmarco from Survivor: Madagascar. He went out early in the merge due to Survivor's first and only fire-making tie-breaker challenge against Dusty. Kenny from Survivor: Madagascar. He was out early, after wasting his hidden immunity idol, he fell victim to Baguette's wrath and one of the biggest threats in the game was out before the merge. Dewie from Survivor: Madagascar. Was voted out first from his tribe, due to the Fana Loka three not liking his attitude despite his superiority in challenges. Ashley from Survivor: The Congo. The only winner playing this season, ready to show that she can outwit, outplay and outlast in the newer generation as well. Kyle from Survivor: The Congo. The victim of the tribe mutiny by Expert and an ally of Ashley and Tommy until they blindsided him two tribals before the final. and Jon from Survivor: The Congo. One of the first holders of a hidden immunity idol, Jon was voted out right before the merge with the idol still in his pocket. The fans' eyes get big and everyone begins talking to each other until Nate shuts them up.
Welcome everyone, to Survivor: Japan...Fans vs. Favorites. The fans get excited while the favorites do their best to look like badasses and like they don't care.
Okay so let's split you all up. Fans, please go over to that red mat, and favorites, the purple. They all move to their spots and Nate throws them buffs.
Here are your buffs. Fans, you will be the Sonkei tribe. Favorites, you are the Chie tribe. For the next few challenges, it will be these two tribes battling it out each week for immunity. The tribe with immunity will keep all it's members that week, and the losing tribe will have to go to tribal council and vote someone out. Hidden immunity idols will be in play this season, and a clue to the idol will hidden throughout the Survivor threads later tonight. I will announce when, however, I will not announce when someone has found it/if it's still out there so do not ask. The clues will lead you to the place where the idol is hidden, and once you find it, you tell me by private message. I won't give out specifics but it will be self-explanatory and easy to understand the directions. Here are the maps to your camps, head there and I'll see you all tomorrow for the first immunity challenge.

Immunity Challenge #1Sea Launch (Inspired by Survivor: Gabon)
Come on in guys!
Both tribes walk in with their flags from opposite ends of the beach and meet Nate in the center on their mats.
I hope you all are getting accustomed to your camps. Everyone ready to get to the first immunity challenge?
Nods from everyone.
For today's immunity challenge, eight people from each tribe will be sliding down those slides down into the water. Once someone is in the water, they will have to retrieve three numbered tiles in the water. These three tiles will add up to a bigger number which is what you will bring back to your tribe's station. Once all eight numbers are found, the two remaining players of the tribe will use these numbers to solve three combination locks. Once these locks are open, the tribe's flag will raise and they will win immunity from tribal council where the first person in this game will be voted out. I know none of you want to be that person, especially you Dewart.
Figure out which two people will be doing the locks, and which eight will be finding the numbers. Once that's figured out, we can start.
In your tribe threads, discuss who's doing what and post that on the thread. Not everyone has to agree, as long as two people volunteer to do the combination lock and there isn't fighting over who's doing it. It would take too long if I waited for everyone to come to a solid agreement. Once that's figured out, you may message me, Darebear55, Dusty or JC for the challenge. The two doing the locks, however, will have to do it together so find a time that works for both of you.
The deadline for this challenge will be 12 pm site time, December 21st. Anyone who doesn't get it done by then without a good excuse will get the DQ time.

Immunity Challenge #1 ResultsOcean Launch (Inspired by Survivor: Gabon)
Everyone gets in their places, ready to do the challenge.
We have Shorty and Sean working on the locks for Sonkei, and Dewie and Kyle working on the locks for Chie! Survivors ready....GO!
Jhon and Josh both run out and slide down the slide into the water. They both swim out to the first buoy where their tiles are underwater. They both dive down, but Josh quickly comes back up again.
Josh is not liking the water! He can't even go underwater for more than a few seconds. This is not a good start for Sonkei! Jhon is now coming back up...but he has nothing!
"I can't see where it is," says Jhon in frustration as he dives back down again.
Neither tribe is doing well! You guys gotta pick it up!
Jhon comes back up again without anything and then quickly dives back down again, as Josh continues to freak out from being underwater.
Once the time reaches seven minutes, you guys will have to come back and the tiles will be given to the tribe!
The tribes start yelling at their teammates, and finally the seven minutes hits and they both come back.
Next two! Let's go!
Gabe and Outlast walk up to the slide and dive down it on Nate's go.
Gabe and Outlast are both down in the water now, looking for their tiles! And Gabe it out like that, with his tile and is now swimming back!
Outlast follows after Gabe about 30 seconds after and they both start swimming back. Gabe gets back and tags Gabriela, and Outlast gets back shortly after, and tags Jon.
Sonkei is out to a small lead, but Jon is shortly behind Gabriela!
Gabriela starts swimming before Jon, but begins doggy paddling slowly and Jon quickly catches up.
Jon gets the lead back for Chie! He's diving down...and he comes back up seconds later with the next tile!
Jon quickly gets back to the tribe before Gabriela even gets to the buoy. He tags out and Kenny slides down the slide as Gabriela finally finds the tile and begins swimming back.
Sonkei is now a man behind the Favorites! Pick it up newbies, show these vets what you're made of!
The fans cheer on Gabriela as she finally gets back and tags out.
SweetC is now going out for her tribe!
SweetC slides down and cautiously gets into the water, swimming out to her buoy.
Kenny is heading back with his tile and SweetC is moving very slowly! Dig deep woman!
Kenny comes back and tags out with Tre and Tre runs out and dives down the slide as SweetC moves very slowly and finally stops.
"Help!" screams SweetC in distress. "Help! I'm drowning!"
Eaoltis and Gabe see SweetC struggling and dive into the water to go rescue her. They help her back to the beach as Tre6 finishes and tags out with Ashley. Everyone stops for a minute to check if SweetC is okay.
"I'm fine, I'm fine!" she screams and everyone backs off.
Alright, let's start back up. Ashley go! Eaoltis go!
The two both swim out and back at the same pace, very quickly. They come back and tag out with Phil and Kaitlyn.
The star crossed lovers are now head to head! Phil is swimming much faster than Kaitlyn! Maybe this will make up time for his tribe!
Phil gets his tile and swims back in lightning speed and tags out with Buddy as Kaitlyn comes up with her tile and starts swimming back.
Fans have got a lot of ground to make up if they want to get to the puzzle as fast as the Favorites! Buddy is now out for his tribe and is moving quickly!
Kaitlyn swims back as Buddy is out to get his tile and tags out with Stan.
Stan is moving at a very quick pace, but Buddy is as well. Sonkei still has one more person to go, though.
Buddy comes back with the seventh tile before Stan, but Stan comes back shortly after.
Dewie and Kyle may now start the puzzle! PGCool is out for Sonkei!
PGCool swims quickly out and comes back with the final tile as Dewie and Kyle make progress and unlock the first lock. PGCool leaps onto the mat and Nate gives Sonkei the go for the locks.
Go Shorty and Sean! Both tribes are working on the locks! Dewie and Kyle have the first lock undone and are working on the second! Shorty and Sean think they might have the first one figured out! And they do! Both tribes are now on their second lock!
Dewie and Kyle figure out the second and unlock it as the other two are working on the second one, and they move on to the final one.
Fans, you are still in this! Do not give up.
Shorty and Sean figure out the second lock and open it, and begin working on the final one, but Dewie and Kyle think they figured out the last one. They try it, and it unlocks, and the Chie flag raises.
CHIE TRIBE WINS IMMUNITY!
The Favorites all cheer as the Fans shake their heads in disappointment. The two tribes gather back at the mats and Nate grabs the immunity idol and hands it to Jon.
Congratulations Favorites, you have immunity from tribal tonight and you will not have to lose any of your players this round. Fans, I can't say the same for you. It was close, but you came up short today. SweetC, how are you holding up?
"I don't really think I want to be here anymore," says SweetC.
"And why is that? Because you couldn't swim?"
"I don't like it here, I don't feel comfortable in this environment and I want to leave."
"Well, I'm not going to negotiate with a quitter, I'll get a boat for you. Fans, I'm sure you're not a fan of her decision, but on the bright side, there's your elimination. You all will not have to go to tribal tonight, because you're already down to nine players. I will see you all for next immunity challenge, and now that the quitters are out of the way, it's going to get serious. I'll see you all soon, grab your stuff and head back to camp."
The two tribes head back in opposite directions to their camps.

So Nate Probst's family is having Christmas today, so I won't have the challenge ready until later tonight. There will be no deadline for this challenge due to the holiday. We'll just get stuff done when we can, no rush. But after the holidays, I'm rushing your asses like there's no tomorrow
