Immunity Challenge #5 ResultsPuzzle Relay (Inspired by Survivor: One World)
Alright, for the first puzzle, we have Jon and Kenny vs. Ashley and Sean!
The pairs get ready to run over to their puzzles.
Survivors ready.....GO!
Both pairs dash out to their puzzle boards where they have to move around square pieced puzzle pieces to make an elaborate celtic knot.
Both pairs are trying many different combinations, but no progress.
Sean begins to figure some of the pieces out in relation to each other but others don't fit.
Sean is making some progress on the puzzle for Sonkei! Kenny, Jon and Ashley look completely confused.
Kenny starts to put certain pieces together, and Jon does too, but they make little progress.
It's almost been a half an hour they're spending on this puzzle...one the thirty minute mark hits, both tribes will DQ and we'll start the next puzzle! Come on guys!
Sean nearly figures out the puzzle, but two of the rows are wrongly placed.
5....4.....3....2.....1....Head back pairs, we're moving on!
The pairs angrily walk back to their mats, and the next pairs get ready.
For this second puzzle, we have Eaoltis and PGCool vs. Outlast and Shorty! Survivors ready....GO!
Both pairs run out and uncover their puzzle boards. There is a blank phrase with a bunch of letter tiles in a bin below. The pairs begin spreading out the letters and trying to figure it out.
This is an extremely tough phrase to figure out. There is no help given. This phrase has to do with the past rivalry between the Fans and the Favorites that no longer has a place in this game.
Shorty immediately says that "The" is probably the first word, but Outlast and Shorty still are stumped. After hearing the hint Nate gave, PGCool begins to think about what words she could make.
"What about 'the rivalry'," says PGCool to Eaoltis.
Chie thinks they may have part of the phrase! Only a few minutes left before we have to move on. C'mon guys, let's get a puzzle finished!
The times slowly dwindles down and both pairs are stumped.
Times up! Next pairs!
For the third puzzle, we have Dewie and Phil vs. Gabriela and Tre6. Survivors ready....GO!
The pairs run out to their puzzle which is of two similar pictures with ten differences. Dewie and Phil quickly figure out many of the differences while Tre and Gabriela have trouble.
Dewie and Phil are making a lot of progress! Already at seven out of ten figured out!
Tre and Gabriela begin to figure out more, but once they're about halfway done, Dewie and Phil find the last difference and call for Jeff.
You guys are good! Head back and the final pair for Sonkei can start!
Dewie and Phil run back and tag out with the final pair, while Tre and Gabriela continue to finish the puzzle.
Kyle and Gabe are now doing the final puzzle for Sonkei! Two jigsaw puzzles that will reveal a trivia question...
They begin making progress on the puzzles, and Tre and Gabriela finally finish their puzzle and run back to tag out with the final pair for Chie.
Gabe and Kyle have made a lot of progress! Buddy and Kaitlyn will have some work to do to catch up and win this for Chie. Both tribes will be going to tribal council, but winning this for your tribe could mean saving your a** tonight from potentially being voted out...
Kaitlyn and Buddy quickly catch up to Kyle and Gabe and both pairs are almost done.
This is extremely close! Both pairs have finished their puzzles!
Both tribes put the puzzles together and read the question. "Name one of the four major islands of Japan."
"Kyushu!" yells Kaitlyn.
CHIE WINS THE CHANCE AT INDIVIDUAL IMMUNITY!
The Chie members all high five each other in excitement.
Good job Chie. You will still be going to tribal council tonight along with Sonkei, but one of you will be going to tribal with immunity around your neck. On to part two of this challenge. For this challenge, there are eight puzzle boards in front of you. All eight of you will try to complete it the fastest...the first person to complete it correctly will win immunity from tribal council and will have a one in 14 chance at winning this game.
All Chie members, PM me, Dara, Dusty or JC for the challenge by Friday at Noon. If you don't do it by then, you don't get a shot at immunity.

I just want to say Nate that your DQ times were totally ridiculous for this challenge.. They had more people DQ and won just because one pair did well... f*ckin stupid. If there was no time limits we win this challenge easily. O I mean.. congrats I guess you retards on Chie.

The two puzzles that had DQs, both tribes DQ'd so they basically didn't matter as far as the overall time went. I don't get this? If you would have given longer time limits on the two puzzles that BOTH TEAMS dq'd on, then we would have actually had results that were affected by those two puzzles. By making the time limit too short you made it not matter which pairs doing those two puzzles would have done better if they actually had time to finish. Are you really not getting this? Chie won because ONE TEAM did better by a little bit more than the other ONE TEAM... while TWO TEAMS didnt matter on both teams because of your time limits. How does that not make sense... |
