i just seen split and I actually really enjoyed it!! james mcavoy did an amazing job with all of his roles! the way he could just change so swiftly was creepy af haha the ending was a bit of a let down and i had no idea what was going on with bruce willis (and now i realize it was a nod to another shyamalan movie.. jeez are we supposed to know every one of his movies... is this a cult? lame a** twist)
oh well, aside from the ending and that dumb a** psychiatrist, i really liked it!

I was really excited watching the previews, I even said to myself," man this is going to be amazing." Then I saw Shyamalan as a director in the commercial, and I knew I wasnt going to watch it. Honestly, if I didnt see who directed it I'd probably watch it

Sixth Sense was great. Devil was good. yeah he's had a few blunders that stand out. but i give his movies a chance if they look decent and get decent enough reviews (which split got some pretty good reviews)

Never seen the visit but I didnt like the village nor did I like devil. I do fux with signs and sixth sense heavy. Even tho the last time I saw them, i was like 9. I' may check out split when it comes to redbox or netflix

Have you seen lady in the water? Might be the worst thing ever.

I only got through like 20 minutes of lady in the water.. that was sh*t! but The Village was so good! i feel it's grown a better reputation as time as gone on. People look back at it now as one of M Night's best. I just loved the story... little village in the 1800s surrounded by a forest where deadly creatures roam. Bryce Dallas Howard, a nobody at the time, was great in it too!

anyone here interested in screenwriting or have ever written a script? I used to do them back in high school/early uni years (looking back, boy they were sh*t). Trying to get back into it atm after reading the reddit forum on Screenwriting. Inspired me like crazy. I'm trying to come up with a plot right now though and it's just so damn hard to come up with something original. I want to do a horror movie preferrably, but a well written one with lots of atmosphere and a likeable cast.
I have one idea right now set in the 80s at a "Blockbuster"-like video rental store, where a mysterious tape is dropped off in the return pile.
I'm also looking for other ideas though. And i'm curious, what are modern fears people still have?? what scares you?

Definitely get a script writing program though it helps so much!! Most people have public speaking fears. But I'm most personally scared of being alone or flying really.

movie of the year so far it was really good, but predictable as sh*t. i get some of the hype over the themes, but as a horror movie, its just average.

I can't think of a free one off the top of my head, but I use to use Final Draft and it was great. I think they may have a trial or free edition, but I can't remember.
