Big Brother's Dungeon - Week 4 HOH Results

Welcome to Big Brother’s Dungeon! David and Josh, you two have been chosen by your fellow housemates to complete a mission. This could be a good thing, or it could be a bad thing. Your life this round may depend on your success in this mission, because today, you are playing to earn the right to hold the title of Head of Household … together. This competition will be cooperative. That is, you must work together to win the challenge. 

Let’s get to the competition, called “It’s a Trap!” For this mission, you’ll be required to safely navigate through the dungeon represented by the 8x6 grid in front of you:

One at a time, you’ll take turns moving from the left side of the dungeon to the right side (A to H). You must always continue to move forward (to the right), but may choose any tile up or down along the way (1-6). But be careful, half of these tiles are traps, and will definitely be triggered if you try to step on them, so choose wisely. If you try to step on a trapped tile, you’ll be maimed and incur a penalty. If you incur three penalties, you’re too injured to go on and you’re out of the competition. But your partner can still win it for you. Therefore, you must both escape the dungeon without incurring more than six penalties total (combined).  

However, to make it a little more fair, we’ll give you the chance to inspect up to eight tiles. You’ll be given 8 trivia questions to test how well you’ve gotten to know your fellow houseguests over the last three weeks. During the trivia portion, you will be allowed to work together to come up with answers. For every correct answer, you will be able to inspect one tile to reveal if it is safe or if it is a trap, potentially earning yourself a huge advantage when trying to escape the dungeon.   

Once the tile inspection process is finished, you’ll alternate turns attempting to cross the dungeon. To move across the grid, simply state the coordinates you wish to move to. If the tile is safe, you’ll both move to it, and the next person can continue with their move. If the tile is a trap, you don’t move at all and whoever tried to move there will incur a penalty, and it’ll be the next person’s turn to move. 

If you escape the dungeon, you’ve just earned the title of co-Heads-of-Household this week. Fail, and you’re both automatically nominated. Womp.  Good luck, and let’s see how well you know your housemates!

Part 1 Trivia:

Big Brother will ask you 8 trivia questions based on the answers submitted in the Pre-Game Questionnaires by all of the houseguests at the beginning of the game. Every answer will be the name of a houseguest still in the game. Duncan, Linus, and Alaina are not included. There is only one correct answer for each question, and no houseguest will be repeated. You will be asked each question one at a time, and you must answer within 60 seconds. Either or both of you may answer. You may change answers before 60 seconds has passed, but the final answer submitted by either of you before time's up will be the one accepted.

*David and Josh convene in their HOH Room to discuss their nominations, and they quickly agree on who should go up*

David: "Everybody, it's time for the nomination ceremony."

*The houseguests quickly gather together to hear the nominations*

David: "This is the nomination ceremony. As co-Heads of Household, Josh and I must nominate two houseguests for eviction."

*Josh doesn't speak, but nods along as David continues*

David: "This week, the first houseguest we are nominating is..."

*David turns the first key:

Josh: "The second houseguest we are nominating is..."

*Josh turns the second key:

JOEY.

David: "Heyyyy I am feeling some dejavu. Didn't I already place these noms? Anyway, both of you guys are not working with me or helping my game at all. I'll let the house decide who goes, but I'm hoping it's someone that has a Joe in their name lol. Good luck to both of you in the veto!"

*Josh gives a silent clap of approval*

With that, the nomination ceremony is complete.

Power of Veto players should be picked soon, maybe tomorrow at Dewie's usual time between 12-1 PM Board Time or I guess whenever he wants to. Veto comp will start after that, and will take place through PM with Dewie or Phil. Have a good night.

Veto Week 4: Know What I Mean?

Welcome to the week 4 veto competition! For this competition you will have to use that noggin of yours. I will send you an image that contains 16 pictures, these pictures are small brain teasers that you will have to solve. The pictures in one way or another represent a common phrase, saying, or compound word. It is your job to figure out the phrase, saying or word they represent and send me back a list numbered 1-16 with each answer. There is a 3 minute penalty for each incorrect answer. The houseguest who does this the fastest will win veto this week! An example of something that could be used for this competition could be a picture of a head above a picture of heels, the resulting phrase or saying being “head over heels.” Any questions? HoH Week 5: Big Brother Slots!  

For this HoH there will be a touch screen slot machine. On each slot there will be different colors with different words on them. The words on the same color go together to form a description of one of the items from a list of items, this list will also be a sliding gif of the words. It will be your job to figure out which color goes to which item and fill out the following answer sheet (the answer sheet is just so you know which color corresponds to which number, you do not have to edit the answer sheet to put your answers in it, a list 1-15 with your answers will do.) You will get a 3 minute penalty for each wrong answer, there is a 30 minute time limit on this comp. Let me know if you have any questions now

Veto Week 5: Calling All Bids

For this veto competition we will have a good old fashion silent auction. This is your chance to win fabulous prizes! Each participating houseguest will be given 100 Big Brother dollars. I will reveal each item up for auction one at a time, you will then bid on that item (3 of the items are mystery boxes, the veto will not be in a mystery box). Once you bid, that money is gone regardless of whether or not you won the item. There will be six items up for auction, some will be good, some will be bad and of course one will be the veto. If two bids of equal value are received on the same item, the bid sent in the fastest will win that item. You will not be told what you won until after the auction process is complete for all players, I will then make a public announcement of the veto winner and that is all. Any questions?

In a matter of moments another houseguest will be voted out and asked to leave.

I have an announcement, the houseguest who survives tonight will be joining the rest of the houesguests into the Jury phase! 

That is right, if you are still here after tonight, you are officially going to be sitting in the final two or on the jury.

Stan Confessional: Well, at least I made jury!

Joe Confessional: ooo the jury.. WHO CARES?! This game is rigged! First it was rigged for Alaina... then it was rigged for Kenny and Jon.. then it was rigged for umm.. RIGGED!

Ty Confessoinal: Of course I made jury phase, the princess doesn't do pre-jury.

But before we start to celebrate that, lets get a more serious matter of tonight's vote out of the way.

HoH Week 6: Mathematical Mindfield 

For this HoH competition, you will have to make it from one side of the pool to the other, collecting numbers on the way. Everybody will start on the left side of the pool, from there you will navigate your way to the other side. Every player starts with a total of 1 point, moving to the right will multiply your total by whatever number you move to, moving up will add to it, moving down will subtract. If a scenario arises that your total goes to zero or below zero, it will be reset to 1 as a default. YOU MAY ONLY MOVE DOWN A MAXIMUM OF 3 TIMES. You may not move backwards. PEMDAS does not apply, the multiplication/ addition/ subtraction takes place immediately onto your total. You can not move to a space that is occupied by a yellow duck. Whoever makes it to the right side of the pool with the lowest total will win Head of Household (in the event of a tie, whoever got their answer in faster will win HoH) In order to submit your path you need to send the grid path you took (the pool is labeled with A-K on top, 1-12 on the left). An example path would look something like A1-B1-C1-C2 etc. This will become more clear once you see the grid. You must submit your path within 30 minutes of receiving the grid, failure to do so will result in a DQ and could result in your removal from the game if it is a repeated offense. Any questions?

Week 6 Veto: Estimation

Welcome to this week’s Veto Competition. Today, you will be putting your estimation skills to the test. I will present you with 12 sets of two photos. The image on the left will contain a known value of objects. The second photo will contain an unknown value of the same object. Your job will be to determine the unknown value based on the information you get from the first image of the known value.

The game will be scored in 12 rounds. For each round, the person who provides an estimate that is furthest away from the actual value will receive one strike. If there is a tie between two or more players, the person who submitted their list in the slowest time will receive the strike. If you receive two strikes, you are eliminated from the competition. The last person standing will win the Power of Veto. If after 12 rounds there is a tie between the remaining two players, the person who submitted their answer list in the shortest time will win the Power of Veto. (YOU MUST SUBMIT YOUR LIST WITHIN 1 HOUR OF RECEIVING THE IMAGES).

Provide a list (1 through 12) with your estimated values. You must submit a value for each set of images. Any missing answers will result in a strike for that round.

David: This was a tough decision, it may seem like it's not but Josh has saved me in past games and I really wanted to return the favor. However, sadly I'm gonna have to use the veto on myself.

For this veto competition we will be testing your ability to chain together answers in various categories. To start I will send you a PM with the first category, in this PM it will be your job to name as many answers for this category you can think of. Each answer will need to be a new message (same PM conversation but new post in the PM), do not name multiple in one message, this will not count. The catch is that each new answer must start with the last letter of your previous answer. After 2 minutes, I will post STOP. That will signify that category is now over, only messages appearing prior to my STOP will count for the category. I will then message you a new category and the process continues. There will be three total categories, most acceptable answers will win the power of veto! *please note that your first answer in a new round must start with the last letter of your last acceptable answer in the previous round!*
