I don't think facing adversity is necessarily important. Derrick didn't face adversity because he controlled how everything went down and had relationships with everyone. That just makes him better in my opinion.
He's still third in my opinion but based on original games only, he is first.

I agree. I don't think facing adversity has anything to do wih it cuz he was so good that he didn't have to face it. He controlled everything. It's sad when someone is in that much control and NEVER gets put up and the people he's playing with don't even realize how good he's been playing all of them.

I'm pretty sure if he played with better players (I hate using this argument but its true) he would face adversity. Not taking anything from his game but I cant see him pulling off this exact flawless gameplay on players like Boogie, Amanda, Andy, Hayden, etc. Derrick had it pretty easy on bb. This is probably the easiest ride I've ever seen on the show. He never really worried ever. Props for making it that way but I'll also like to see how he does under pressure. The few times I've seen him "under pressure" he didnt react to well. Players like Dr. Will, Dan, and Dani R. kept their composure very well while under pressure.

I'll give Derrick the props of playing a slightly better game than Dan on bb10… they were both able to hide the fact that they were major gamers. But Dan went into BB14 being publicly known as one of the best players in history. Until Derrick wins this game… and then comes back and makes it close to the end, I will not entertain him being a as good if not better player than Dan.
We have no idea how Derrick would fair playing with an exposed game like Dan and Will had to do.

Does he really need to play a 2nd time to be ranked better? If he comes back and gets voted out early that's not gonna bring him down in the rankings for me. I just think Derricks game this season is more impressive than Dan on both of his seasons. Yes because it shows how he'll do under adversity. Dr. will, Dan, and Dani. R (on all stars) all played well whether they had power or no power. Derrick was always in power and if he plays a second time and doesn't face adversity again hes probably the best player of all time, if he gets voted out early he's still top 5. His game is similar to Dani R. on bb3 and she was always in power but Allstars she had to adapt her game because she was rarely in power. I want to see if Derrick can do the same his second time around. Dan and Dr. Will had massive targets coming back in the house and they made it to the end and if derrick is going to be better than Dan/will he should at least make jury his second time IMO. Dan had 3 extra lives his 2nd time playing so his massive target coming into the game did not really mean anything. I see your point with this but I still stand by opinion. |

Don't have a particular order for those two as I always flip flop between them. Third is Derrick, but if he didn't win, I'd say Danielle Reyes would place ahead of him. BUt since he did, he's 3 and Reyes is 4. |

Eh Derrick had one of the worst casts as players, while Will, Dan Danielle faced much better groups which should be a factor imo. I agree with those 5 in general though. Hayden and Maggie get an honorable mention too.
