Just started this, and I gotta say that Jeff's face when Billy said he loved Candice was f*cking priceless.

Also, a lot of people sh*t on this season but there were so many fun characters like Ozzy, Cao Boi, Penner, etc.

I loved this season. Good winner, great characters and I don't think this will be a popular opinion but I loved the racially divided tribe idea.

This is one of the Seasons I couldn't finish because damn the cast is bad. Crazy how it gave us greats like Parv, Ozzy, and Penner. One of my least favorites

Just finished it. My overall opinion on it is that it wasn't bad. If I had to split the seasons between Amazing, Good, OK, Meh, Bad, and Ugly, this would fall under OK. There were a lot of people who I didn't like/didn't do anything (Rebecca, Jenny, Flicka, Becky, Brad) mixed with some of my favorite Survivor contestants I've seen thus far (Penner and Ozzy). Yul played a hella good game and he definitely was the one person who deserved it. Candice was a villain this season. Don't care what anybody says. The edit made it seem like the Aitu Four were the heroes, Penner was neutral, and the rest of the Raro tribe going into the merge were villains. I'm surprised Parvati was asked back for Fans vs Favorites after this season. Survivor always has those people who shouldn't come back but do anyways. I'm glad she did come back tho.
My official grade for this is a C+. While this season brought some of the biggest names in Survivor history, it lacked a really deep cast. Like I said before, everyone besides like 5 or 6 people were playing the game. I feel like this won't be in my top 10 seasons once I get through all of them, but it won't be in the bottom either. Definitely a middle of the pack type of season.

Omg.
"Splitting the tribes by race. I mean, is that Kosher?" -Parvati
Ded. It is very interesting they did take this route. An ethnicity divide was a huge thing when they did this.

tbh I think they may have thought it would make the tribes more willing to work together/intermingle on the swaps/merge, for fear of being labeled racists on national tv.

Lmao I heard on a podcast how apparently production was so close to canceling this season when all the minorities were being picked off until they basically rigged for Aitu 4 to win for the minority underdog story.

They wouldn't dare risk this happening in a modern season lmao imagine the backlash if white people made it to the end. The show would be cancelled.

I'm saying only in the case that they do a season with racially divided tribes again. Survivor would be attacked for rigging the game if the final three was all white people when there was an even amount of each race, even if it wasn't rigged. Casual viewers would at least. Not actual fans probably.
