ARE YOU f*ckING KIDDING ME ROBB? From what I understand, Robb initially accepted and Marie initially declined. By the time Marie agreed Robb had been committed to working and could no longer compete. Robb has been training his a** off. There's no way he'd decline. You're probably right. It's been a while since casting was going on so some of the specifics have become a little hazy.

Ughhhh, I want Kenny & Evan back so badly. Aside from them, of people who are actually "allowed" back, I wish Casey Cooper would join again. She's hilarious to watch/listen to. Same with Jenn! She's just great. Also, it may go without needing to be said, but CT & Derrick should just return and gives these stupid rookies (& Bananas) a run for their money. Most of the new people are either annoying or suck at competing... Hell, I'd even watch Mark and Landon again, despite them being old as hell. They'd be more entertaining, that's for sure. The newer the season, the more its just about drama. At least in older years, for the most part, they had kind, yet still slightly crazy, people. Now most of them are b*tches and douchebags.

What a great thread, I love/hate all the interesting tid-bits. The biggest disappointment for me was Vince for The Gauntlet. He would've be such a breath of fresh air on that team. Guaranteed win for him too considering how the season went down.
I'm more of an old schooler, let me see if I can job my memory on some of the older seasons.
All Stars - I think according to the Road Rules Journals book, they couldn't get anyone from London on board, so they asked Sean Duffy who had just finished with Real World Boston.
Challenge '99 - Sarah Becker mentioned in an interview she declined participating in an "All Star" special in the summer of '99.
Challenge 2000 - Colin Mortensen was asked but declined due to his edit. Instead he was replaced by Teck.
Extreme Challenge - Colin Mortensen was again asked, but declined. Apparently in an interview, he got a call for every challenge since his season until finally accepting Battle of the Sexes. Jon Holmes wrestled in the Mud Wrestling mission after Ayanna's departure, but was ultimately edited out of the episode.
Battle of the Seasons - Heather Gardner was rumored to be Norman's partner but Becky made the final cast. And early challenge blogs confirmed the RR: Australia team to be Chadwick and Christina Pazsitsky, but ultimately Piggy made the final cast.
Duel II - According to his interview on Brain Candy, David Leech was asked to fly out to New Zealand but backed out last minute.
And these don't belong to a specific season but I remember reading in interviews that both Shayne McBride and Jon Holmes were never called to return for a challenge.

Thanks for that! You know, I actually did know that Colin was asked for every Challenge until Sexes, but for some reason never put that in. I had some (read: a few) updates for Bloodlines/Rivals 3/Invasion but unfortunately my old computer went completely kaputt and I don't have that info anymore (but when I get the money I will recover it, so it's ultimately not lost forever).

Also I still can't figure out the whole Duel 2 situation with Dan/David and ultimately Ryan being the one to go. Like I think it was something like Dan was on the cast but dropped out so they asked David who dropped out so they settled with Ryan, but I remember trying to read old posts about the situation and it was so confusing.

they should've just added another male and female tbh. A cast of 28 isn't too much

does anyone have anymore info on invasion cast close calls, and also rivals III close calls? Averey was cast but dropped a week before due to budget cuts. Likely dropped for Kailah. Nicole Ramos was on the final cast, moved to alt, dropped, and then made final cast but dropped again. Sam & Derrick were Alts for Champions. Ibis was also an alt for females Dione and Nate thought they made the final cast initially but obviously didn't. Cooke accepted at one point and dropped, same with Marlon.
