Debut Season: Road Rules: All Stars Since the beginning of time in the Challenge world, there was an Eric Nies. Eric Nies appeared on the very first challenge, Road Rules: All Stars (which was more of a introduction to the Challenge series than an actual challenge in itself). On top of appearing in the introduction season, he also hosted a challenge four seasons later, Battle of the Seasons, with his best friend Mark Long. Right after Battle of the Seasons, he went from host to competitor on Sexes, displaying various skills and strengths, which landed him a spot inside the Top 20 Challenge Competitors of All-Time. Battle of the Sexes 2, his final challenge, while not competing to the best of his abilities, he still somehow managed to pull a win after Mark decided to give him his spot in the final. On Sexes 2, while the competitor in him slightly fell back, the character in him was largely developed for the millions to watch. Nies, on Sexes 2, took a leadership position for the males team. He was well-known for also carrying his jump rope around with him everywhere, to every mission, to every vote off, to every team meeting. Hell, every time someone on his team spoke, they were only allowed to do so if they had the jump rope in their possession. The Sexes 2 jump rope is certainly one of the most iconic challenge objects of all time, and it's probably the sole reason Eric Nies has a chance of getting inducted to the Hall of Fame. Challenge Appearances: 3 Finals Appearances: 2 Challenge Wins: 2 Elimination Record 0-0 Mission wins: 20 Most Memorable Moment: Going on a witch hunt to track down his sacred jumprope Breakout Season: Battle of the Sexes

Debut: Challenge 2000 We'll probably never see another competitor in the challenge ever similar to Dan Setzler. While he wasn't the ideal looking competitor, his performance on the Challenge field was more than just impressive. Dan, also known as The All-American challenger and Consummate Road Ruler, had a special skill set in which he used to dominate his opposition. Dan lived in a challenge era he owned, where skill and wit were the primary focus of competitions. He is currently #4 on the Greatest Challenge Competitors of All-Time list, and is also in the discussion for Top 10 Challenge Players Ever (political, social, and accolades involved). Had Dan done more than just 3 challenges, Dan could've been more than just a memorable competitor and player, he could've been a memorable character. Challenge Appearances: 3 Finals Appearances: 3 Challenge Wins: 2 Elimination Record: 0-0 Mission Wins: 25 Most Memorable Moment: N/A Breakout Season: Challenge 2000

Debut: Extreme Challenge There's only been one man in the history of the Challenge who holds a perfect record amongst a field of challengers who have gone on to do more than one challenge. His name is Jamie Murray. Jamie has appeared in 3 challenges. He competed in the following challenge seasons: Extreme Challenge, Battle of the Sexes, and Gauntlet 2. In each and every one of these challenges, he showed up to some beautiful exotic location and left home six weeks later with the big check. The man never felt what it's like to face defeat, and that says a lot, as many challenge greats (Landon, Darrell, Kenny, Mark, the list goes on) have been on the receiving end of a loss. Jamie was and forever will be "The Perfect Challenger", because it's incredibly safe to assume he will never lace up the boots again. He's been off TV for more than a decade now, but his perfect record will live on forever and may just get him into the Challenge Hall of Fame. Challenge Appearances: 3 Finals Appearances: 3 Challenge Wins: 3 Elimination Record: 0-0 Mission Wins: 31 Most Memorable Moment: N/A Breakout Season: Battle of the Sexes

Debut: Battle of the Seasons (2002) About 97.5% of The Challenge's cast pool consists of drunk, camera hungry, or egotistical individuals. Then there's that 2.5% that consist of good hearted class acts. Timmy is the perfect representative of that 2.5%. Timmy was a genuinely nice guy with a good heart, a character type that comes once in a blue moon in these shows. Timmy was also the comedic relief and is one of the wittiest challengers the show has produced. He was also a respectable competitor and player in the eyes of his respective castmembers. Timmy competed in four challenges, one of which he won. His career ended after an unfortunate loss on the Inferno 3. The exit he received couldn't of been more deserved however. Ace's speech prior to him entering the elimination was beautiful. His speech to the rest of the castmembers who were competing in the season was even more beautiful. He left them in tears. At the very end of his exit episode was a montage with some of his career highlights, which was the cherry on top. Timmy's large exit is a showcase of how important he really was to the Challenge and why he's Hall of Fame worthy. Challenge Appearances: 4 Final Appearances: 3 Challenge Wins: 1 Life Saver Wins: 1 (Only Inferno Participants) Elimination Record: 1-1 Most Memorable Moment: Mocking Aneesa on the Gauntlet 2 Breakout Season: Battle of the Seasons (2002)

Debut: Battle of the Seasons (2002) Theo Von is perhaps what you would call the hidden gem of the Challenge series. The man had it all in the realms of what it takes to be a Hall of Fame challenger (was a great character, competitor, and player), regardless of the fact that most of the things he has done throughout the career have gone unnoticed. He perhaps holds the position for funniest challenge commentator, with only Coral, Kenny, and Evan holding a candle to him in this area. Theo's confessionals were comedic gold. His challenge performance as a competitor stood nothing short of greatness, as he's currently #3 on our Greatest Challenge Competitors List. In the four seasons Theo has done (Battle of the Seasons, The Gauntlet, Battle of the Sexes 2, and Fresh Meat), he was always the best individual performer or tied for best individual performer in missions. In an era where many missions were individual based and had a lot room for error, he never DQ'ed once, which is quite an accomplishment. In terms of Greatest Challenge Players, he's in the discussion for Top 10 ever. Challenge Appearances: 4 Final Appearances: 3 Elimination Record: 0-1 Mission Wins: 28 Freshlook Eyesaver Wins: 2 ( Only Gauntlet participants) Most Memorable Moment: Showing up to the FM reunion in crutches and fake bandages to mock Derrick how hurt he was by getting backstabbed. Breakout Season: Battle of the Seasons (2002)

Debut: The Real World/Road Rules Challenge Big Bad Beth, Beth Bad and Beyond, Osama Beth Laden, just a few of the many names that Beth has garnered for her behavior and actions on the Challenge. Beth was never an elite player or competitor, but her character is one of the best to ever be produced on the show. She was a notorious villain who was hated by most of her colleagues. Back then, if you were on a challenge, hating Beth was normal. An example of how extremely hated she was at times, was when Tonya dumped all her clothes into the pool on The Inferno II. Beth made so many people's skin crawl and ruffled so many feathers, that her not being an eligible inductee in the Hall of Fame ballot would be considered blasphemous. Sadly enough, there will most likely never be another notorious villain like Beth in the challenge ever. Challenge Appearances: 6 Final Appearances: 1 Challenge Wins: 0 Elimination Record: 2-1 Mission Wins: 19 Life Shield Wins: 0 (Only Inferno participants) Most Memorable Moment: Getting her clothes thrown into a pool by Tonya on The Inferno II and then proceeding to stay in a hotel before quitting the show. Breakout Season: The Inferno II

Debut Season: Extreme Challenge The Challenge has been forever known for not only its competition and drunken drama, but for the politic and social complex as well. Susie Meister may arguably be the best female political player to ever step foot into a Challenge house. She is conniving, deceiving, and tries every little dirty trick in the book to get to the end. Susie is the female counterpart of Evan Starkman, whose known for being a ruthless politicker. To no one's surprise, they worked together on the very first challenge they did, The Ruins, and went on to win. Susie has done four challenge seasons and never once left home before the final. In those four seasons, she won twice and racked up a 4-0 elimination record, making her one of the only undefeated females past three eliminations. Susie was never the greatest competitor, but her playmaking abilities were above the rest. Susie was also a primary character throughout her career, being at the center of many moments such as her own team accusing of her making an alliance with the opposing team and building up a rivalry with Tonya. Challenge Appearances: 4 Final Appearances: 4 Challenge Wins: 2 Elimination Record: 4-0 Mission Wins: 25 Life shield wins: 3 Most Memorable Moment: Threatening JEK's chances of winning on the Ruins by throwing the final. Breakout Season: Gauntlet 2

Debut: Extreme Challenge Many challenge fans today may not know have a single clue as to who Emily Bailey is, but super fans who've been watching the show forever and have gone on to watch previous seasons beg to differ. Emily Bailey never did a challenge past the sixth season, which aired in 2003, so her familiarity with new school fans is non-existent. She did three straight seasons in the early 2000's (Extreme Challenge, Battle of the Seasons, and Battle of the Sexes). Her involvement in every one of these as a whole was overwhelming. She displayed many abilities and skills which put her 5th Greatest Female Challenge Competitors of All-Time List. Along with her competitive prowess, Emily was an excellent character. Emily was a villain who people liked to root against back in the day. Her most famous doing came from Sexes when she was apart of the inner circle and voted off fan favorites Veronica and Rachel unjustifiably. She caused a lot of controversy on Sexes for cutting off some of the better girls in her team who were scoring higher points as opposed to the weaker girls. Emily also got into a feud with Veronica during Sexes because of a rumor. The rumor that was going around was that Veronica supposedly slept with her boyfriend, James, prior to the season starting. If that wasn't enough, she also quit that very same challenge once James was voted off, which was right after Veronica left. Emily Bailey is the original Queen Bee of the Challenge and initiated backstabbing and playing ruthless on the Challenge. Challenge Appearances: 3 Final Appearances: 2 Challenge Wins: 0 Elimination Record: 0-0 Mission Wins: 16 Most Memorable Moment: Hoodwinking Ruthie and Ellen twice into voting out strong competitors (Veronica and Rachel R) because she disliked them. Breakout Season: Battle of the Seasons (2002)

Debut: Challenge 2000 Holly Shand is in the same boat as Emily Bailey when it comes to a few things. Like mentioned in Emily's introduction write up, most new school fans have no clue who she is. Holly only did three challenges (Challenge 2000, Battle of the Seasons, and The Inferno). The first one she did was so long ago that it took place on an RV instead of a house, and the last one was 12 years ago. Although Holly's only career lasted in a matter of 3 seasons, she made the most of it. Her performance in most competitions was outstanding. It's a shame we didn't get to see more of her physical ability and competitive skill in other seasons, but at this point in time, she ranks 4th on our Greatest Female Challenge Competitors of All-Time. Challenge Appearances: 3 Final Appearances: 2 Challenge Wins: 2 Elimination Record: 0-0 Mission Wins: 20 Life shield Wins: 1 (Only Inferno Participants) Most Memorable Moment: N/A Breakout Season: Challenge 2000

Debut: Extreme Challenge The Challenge has seen a bunch of crazies come and go, Julie Stoffer might've just been one of the craziest. I mean, she tried to kill fellow castmember, Veronica, while hanging on zip lines about 100 feet above the ground. Julie kept on yanking on Julie's safety harness sending Veronica and the whole cast into panic. Everything about that moment in time was insane; Veronica screaming in fear "WHAT IS SHE DOING!!!! ? WHAT IS SHE DOING!!!! ?", while Julie having the most evil look in her eyes was classic, and Jeremy on the sidelines looking scared for Veronica's life screaming "DON'T TOUCH THE SAFETY LINE!!!!'" really puts the whole moment into perspective as to what was happening before our eyes. To add to her resume of crazy, Julie also was notorious for wanting to fight Coral on the Inferno. Coral is arguably the most feared woman in all of Challenge history, no one in their right mind would want to fight her, but Julie did creating one of the greatest female rivalries the show has ever seen. Challenge appearances: 5 Final appearances: 3 Challenge wins: 1 Elimination record: 0-2 Mission wins: 29 Most Memorable Moment: Trying to kill Veronica Breakout Season: The Inferno

Debut: Battle of the Sexes Ruthie Alcaide, The Challenges' little engine that could. Ruthie is ranked 6th on our Top 10 Female Challenge Competitor of All-Time list and her Battle of the Sexes performance is not only be the greatest debut for a female ever, but also the greatest female single season performance ever. Ruthie's first rodeo was near flawless. Everytime her individual abilities came into play, she was at the top for every mission. Ruthie hung upside down like a bat on Dead Man's Drop, outlasting 31 other competitors including males. In Breath Hold Bungee, she held her breath the longest under water outperforming all 13 females competing in the mission. Leaky River, Stairway to Heaven, Spider Mon, Human Aquarium, and Maximum Velocity are other missions from her debut season in which she led the pack of her female sex. Ruthie's legendary competitive performance on Sexes unfortunately didn't transfer over to the three seasons she did later in her career, but it will always remain incredibly prestigious and memorable in the eyes of challenge fans. Challenge appearances: 4 Final appearances: 1 Challenge wins: 0 Elimination record: 1-2 Mission wins: 12 Most Memorable Moment: Maximum Velocity perfromance Breakout Season: Battle of the Sexes

Debut: Battle of the Sexes How come Puck only did one challenge and then mysteriously disappeared from the Reality TV realm? Why didn't he return after Battle of the Sexes? The world may never know. These are questions that will remain unanswered forever. Puck's Real World legacy speaks volumes about how great of a character he was. Puck is not only one of the greatest characters on the Challenge/Real World but he's one of the greatest in all of reality television. The one and only challenge Puck did, on Sexes, was just a preview of a legendary challenge career had Puck continued to do challenges. On the first day of his life on the Challenge, Puck had already made his mark, by getting into the infamous spitting incident with another castmember. Later in the season, Puck and his fiancée got married on the show, with a wedding celebration taking place on national television. Puck never returning to the Challenge after having an impressive first go is a travesty. One thing is for sure though, Puck is the only One-Timer that is an eligible possibility for a Challenge Hall of Famer. Challenge appearances: 1 Final appearances: 0 Challenge wins: 0 Elimination record: 0-0 Mission wins: 3 Most Memorable Moment: Having his Wedding on the show or spitting on Davids face Breakout Season: Battle of the Sexes

Debut: Battle of the Sexes The craziest castmember of all time: Tonya Cooley. Tonya first appeared on Battle of the Sexes and went on to have a stellar career racking up 8 seasons under her belt. She was never the best competitor nor the best player, but her character was astonishing. There was never a time on the Challenge in which Tonya wasn't drunk, which made for some of the best moments because of her behavior and actions. Tonya had a large storyline or big moment on every season she was on. Just to point out some of her most famous moments and storylines, they are the following: putting rocks in her mouth to help her team win a mission (Sexes 2), rivalry with the Mean Girls (Inferno II), hooking up with a gay man while having a fiancée back home (Inferno 3), and slapping the living spirit out of Veronica and going home because of it (The Ruins). Last thing that needs to be mentioned is Tonya lead the league in most hookups ever. Whats even crazier is that Tonya use to be the good girl on the challenge and then she did a complete 180 and became the ultimate bad girl the Challenge has ever seen. She also was the very first person to throw someones clothes into the pool. Challenge appearances: 8 Final appearances: 2 Challenge wins: 1 Elimination record: 3-1 Mission wins: 27 Most memorable Moment: Throwing Beth's clothes in the pool or Slapping the life out of Veronica Breakout Season: Battle of the Sexes 2

Debut: Battle of the Sexes Regardless of the fact that Aneesa has yet to reel in a victory, she still holds four important Challenge records that qualify her as an eligible Hall of Famer. Three of these records are related to her longevity on the show. (1) Aneesa has done the most challenges out of any female, she's appeared on 11 seasons. (2) Aneesa has appeared on the most episodes out of any female ever, 124, that is 25 more than the female with the second most episodes appearances. (3) Aneesa currently holds the longest tenure span of when she first did a challenge (Sexes) to when she last did a challenge (Bloodlines), which is 22 seasons. Aneesa is the only challenger who can say she's lived through every era of the Challenge. Let that sink in. The fourth record Aneesa holds is related to her performance in competition. (4) Aneesa holds the record for most individual elimination wins for a female, with 9. Will these four records help ignore her dry and winless streak and get her into the Hall of Fame? That choice is up to you. Challenge appearances: 11 Final appearances: 3 Challenge wins: 0 Elimination record: 9-6 Mission wins: 22 Most Memorable Moment: Arguing with Robin on the Duel Breakout Season: Duel

Debut: Battle of the Sexes Before there was an Evelyn, a Laurel, or an Emily on the Challenge, there was a Rachel Robinson. Rachel first appeared on Battle of the Sexes and has stacked up a pretty gnarly resume since to make her one of the best female challenge competitors that ever lived. Her most precious achievement on her stacked resume has to be: being one of the only two females ever to win an individual season (won the Duel 2). Because of all that Rachel has done as a competitor, she has an automatic placement in the Top 5 Greatest Female Competitors ever. Rachel's competitive abilities isn't the only thing to stand out from her on all the challenges she's done, her various romantic relationships are too. Rachel had a long on-going relationship with Veronica that ended sometime after the Inferno II, and also had a thing going on with Aneesa and Jenn that continuously had their own story lines over the course of a few seasons. Rachel is so attractive and charming that she was pulling in straight girls like it was nothing. She is also apart of the mean girls with Tina and Veronica who were basically the female JEK even though they were only on one season together. Rumor has it they're still close friends till this day. Challenge appearances: 7 Final appearances: 3 Challenge wins: 2 Elimination record: 1-1 Mission wins: 23 Most Memorable Moment: Participating in the 3 some Breakout Season: Battle of the Sexes
