Cook Islands had some really good people. And Parvati, Ozzy and Penner are three of the most popular players ever.

To say someone isn't good becaus of idols is probably the stupidest thing I've heard of! Finding them is difficult on it's on and when to play them At the right moment is really key. Dumb statement

I would say Richard as he had nothing to base his game-play off of for best winner and player. He just sort of use basic strategy.

How is that a dumb statement? Rob is better than Russell because he can win without the need for idols. Russell needed idols to continue his game. Perfect example, Redemption Island. He couldn't find the idol, he was sent home. His social game is very bad.
Plus, I never said Russell wasn't a good player. I said he's overrated, which he is. Malcolm, Rob, Sugar and Kim all had possession of an idol but never had to use them for most of the game because they had a good social game. Russell has never had that.
Russell was lucky Heroes vs. Villains handed out hidden idols each week and that Parvati decided to work with him. She ran that season, not Russell.

Russel went home because it was his third season basically in a row and the fans knew better to keep him around

And he lied to them about how he was going to play and went looking for the idol constantly. Bad social game. He relies his game almost entirely on having possession of idols which does not make him one of the greatest. There are a good amount of players better than him.

Russell game was too one-sided for him to be ever considered GOAT, plus he got to the Finals twice and didn't win. A good villain, a good strategic player, but not good at the social game at all.

I would say Richard as he had nothing to base his game-play off of for best winner and player. He just sort of use basic strategy. Yea the thing I loved about Richard Hatch was that since he was on season 1 he was the first to make an alliance and such. The thing that kept him around at some points was his ability to catch fish which was great cause you never see that as a reason to keep someone around. He was so smart when it came to the game and since it was brand new he really set the stage for the following seasons. And in the challenges he wasn't great but he only won one immunity challenge and if he didn't win that one he was going to be voted off that night.

Nate, you can't say anything bad about hidden immunity idols when Malcolm's biggest move in his two seasons were because of idols. Without his idol move last season he would have gotten picked off.

His original season he had his idol until the final tribal he could use it....he can play the game without needing idols.
Also, just because I like Malcolm doesn't mean I think he's the greatest player or anything.

I'm not saying he can't but he needed idols just to get him top 8 last time. I'm not making this a Malcolm vs. Russell thing I'm just saying that I don't think Hidden Immunity Idols are overrated.

Why does it matter if he needed idols? They put them in the game so I don't see the problem with using them to your advantage.

I said Russell is overrated because his game is 80% hidden idol based.

I'm saying that Russell's game is way to heavily based on idols! That's why he's not one of the best in my opinion. The best players shouldn't rely so much on idols to further their game. That's it.

Why not? You are saying that idols are a bad thing. They are part of the game, they're not cheap or anything. Yea his game is predicated on idols cause without them he wouldn't have made the finals either time but they are part of the game.
