The Avengers is TOO CAMP! Robert Downey Jr is cool but he's pretty much no different in real life than as Tony Stark. Man of Steel and the growing DC universe has more seriousness too it and I like that.

Yeah I know, I doubt if we will be able to see Man of Steel 2 in 2015 even! I wish they would of done this before the coming pandemic in this country.

How did The Avengers bore you??? There was almost never a moment in that movie that didn't have action.

And I agree Superboy. I like the serious take they do for DC much better.

Idk. The only character who wasn't boring was Iron Man. I didn't watch the Captain America and Thor movies, because I wasn't interested in them.

A Wonder Woman movie could work..... but it won't. I think every attempt of putting Wonder Woman on TV/Film has failed since the TV Show back in the 70s or 80s.

Captain America is cooler than Iron Man. I know I'm in the minority, but I never really enjoyed Iron Man movies. Captain America was by far my favorite. I'm excited for Winter Soldier.

They're planning a Wonder Woman movie too....yeah, how about you don't do that.

Yeah, Wonder Woman along with Aquaman for a live action movie just won't work. Unless they do Wonder Woman like the up coming Thor movie by making it dark and modernizing her and her world.

Captain America's friend who returns from the first one as a villain. Winter Soldier is the title of the second Captain America.

I think even then it will suck. No offense to females, but no superhero movie about a woman is good.

Yeah I agree. I can actually like a movie with female leads and have liked shows with female leads (I liked Xena and the Buffy the Vampire Slayer tv show way back) but a female superhero movie just wont attract many viewers.

On the heels of the worldwide success of "Man of Steel," director Zack Snyder is bringing together the two greatest Super Heroes of all time—Batman and Superman—for the first time on the big screen. The announcement was made today by Greg Silverman, President, Creative Development and Worldwide Production, and Sue Kroll, President, Worldwide Marketing and International Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures.

"Whilst our ‘Dark Knight' trilogy is complete, we have every confidence that Zack's fresh interpretation will take the character in a new and exciting direction. His vision for Superman opened the door to a whole new universe and we can't wait to see what Zack does with these characters."

The current hit, "Man of Steel," has taken in more than $630 million at the worldwide box office to date, and climbing. Along with its star, Henry Cavill, the upcoming film brings back Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane. The new Batman has yet to be cast.

Snyder is co-writing the story with David S. Goyer, who will then pen the screenplay. Production is expected to begin in 2014, with an anticipated release date in Summer 2015.

Silverman stated, "Zack Snyder is an incredibly talented filmmaker, but beyond that, he's a fan first and he utterly gets this genre. We could not think of anyone better suited to the task of bringing these iconic Super Heroes to the screen in his own way." Zack Snyder, who made a surprise appearance at Comic-Con today, breaking the news to audiences there, later said, "I'm so excited to begin working again with Henry Cavill in the world we created, and I can't wait to expand the DC Universe in this next chapter. Let's face it, it's beyond mythological to have Superman and our new Batman facing off, since they are the greatest Super Heroes in the world."

The new film brings back Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder as producers. This time, Christopher Nolan and Emma Thomas are serving as executive producers, along with Benjamin Melniker and Michael E. Uslan.

Thomas offered, "Whilst our ‘Dark Knight' trilogy is complete, we have every confidence that Zack's fresh interpretation will take the character in a new and exciting direction. His vision for Superman opened the door to a whole new universe and we can't wait to see what Zack does with these characters."

The film is based on Superman characters created by Jerry Siegel & Joe Shuster, and Batman characters created by Bob Kane, published by DC Entertainment.

It's too bad this movie most likely will not be released because of the coming pandemic, but I'm very interested in seeing all of the coming news and how it might have played out.

I went to the IMDB page of X-Men: Days of Future Past and they have everyone coming back, even Ice Man, Colossus, and Shadowcat. Why don't they just make X-Men 4!!!?? They have everybody they need.

Haha, yeah. X-Men First Class didn't look too good from the couple minutes I seen on TV.
