They are all in my top 10 directors. I also love Hitchcock and Christopher Nolan. And Baz Luhrmann, Wes Anderson, Martin Scorsese, and Sergio Leone are also up there for me. And Paul Thomas Anderson! There really are too many for me to choose from. I only can like a director when there is something distinctive about their work, like there is a certain thing that they masterfully do (not just make good movies). Steven Spielberg for his science fiction work, Tim Burton for his gothic and dark styles, M. Night for his twist endings and unique story telling, and Zack Snyder for his visual style. Christopher Nolan and Paul Thomas Anderson are directors I respect, but there is nothing distinctive about their work that I like. I pick directors based on if they've made movies that they make as a whole. I like them because they deliver every time and I've rarely been let down by them. And I may be the only one here, but I'm seriously excited about Great Expectations with Helena Bonham Carter as Miss Havisham. I'm also waiting for the day when Tim Burton makes another movie that is just as phenomenal as Big Fish.

As for Tim Burton, the last GOOD movie he made to me was Sleepy Hollow. He's downgraded quite a bit, still one of my favorite directors though.

Steven Spielberg, Tim Burton, M. Night Shyamalan and Zack Snyder are my favorite directors. haha are you serious? He ruined Avatar, butchered it to complete sh*t, he's made 1 great movie and 1 good movie. The rest are complete sh*t on a good day.

Which movie do you think will win the box office in 2015? Man of Steel 2, Avengers 2, Avatar 2 or Star Wars 7? Avengers 2 definitely. Avatar fluked its way to the top because it was the first real big 3D/IMAX movie released and people were amazed by the visuals. I can't find anybody nowadays that actually really enjoyed the film looking back on it. It was basically Pocahontas on another planet.

He has my respect for life for Unbreakable alone, plus add in Signs which both are in my top ten favorite movies of all time. The Sixth Sense is also quite good. But yeah I know he's dropped the ball, starting with Lady In the Water and so on. I still have hope he makes a good film again.

James Cameron is a master at the box office, he has something up his sleeve. Otherwise I would agree on Avengers 2.

His magic is releasing a worldwide movie every 5-10 years and putting "the director of Titanic" on everything. The Batman/Superman movie could be a dark horse....but for some reason I don't see Star Wars breaking a billion.

The Batman/Superman movie could be a dark horse....but for some reason I don't see Star Wars breaking a billion. Well people never saw a movie quite on the scale of Titanic before, and no movie has had the special effects of Avatar (and factor in 3D), its the reason why they are the two highest grossing movies of all time. I'm positive James Cameron will do something with the Avatar sequels to further expand his new ideas and bring audiences back for more and more because that's what he's a master at. I'm rooting for the Batman/Superman movie and believe it will come in third at the box office behind Avatar 2 and Avengers 2 for the simple fact that those two movies are already well established franchises and the Batman/Superman movie won't be a simple popcorn flick like the two. As for Star Wars, I do see it breaking the billion mark, but I agree it has quite potential to not live up to people's expectations.

I think no matter the expectations, everyone is gonna go see Star Wars. People of all ages will want to see it, especially with the original trilogy cast coming back. It'll be close though with Man of Steel and Avengers. Just can't see Avatar 2 being close, with the success of the 1st Avengers, the following of Star Wars, and the 2 most popular superheroes ever teaming up for the 1st time on the big screen.

True Outlast, I have never seen a Star Wars and for people like me, this is the perfect jumping on point for millions of new fans mixed with the older ones.

James Cameron knows that the average movie goer are popcorn loving idiots and knows how to cater to what they like. He will pull out some strings to compete with those movies.

Anyone else a fan of Quentin terantino movies? If someone doesn't, they don't know good movies. Django and Kill Bill are my favorites by him. I like Pulp Fiction but I don't think it's as good as Django or Kill Bill. My favorite 2 directors would probably be him and Scorsese.
