The final two walk into the tribal council area, set their torches at the back and sit down by the fire.
We'll now bring in our jury...
The complete jury of nine walks into the tribal council area and sit at their bench to the opposite side of Joe and Jacob.
Setsu (Setsu-Maria Ghomes), Dewie (Dewie890), James (James), John (delta2178), Jonas (Helen of Troy), David (DScott), Sammy (SammySosaTV), Stan (@desertfox) and Jon (Jgrubl) voted out at the last tribal council.
Well, Jacob and Joe. You've made it to day thirty-nine. It's no easy feat, especially in a season this wild. However, tonight is all that matters when it comes to which one of you will win the title of sole survivor. These nine jurors that you may or may not have had a hand in voting out will be voting for one of you to win this game tonight, based on how you answer the questions they have prepared and who they think deserves the win. I'll ask each juror to ask their questions to you and then they will all vote, but first, I would like to give each of you a chance to give an opening statement.
Jacob (Jacob) and Joe (joeker) please post your opening statements in here before 6 pm site time tomorrow, or I will allow the jurors to skip over you and begin asking questions. Jurors, do not post in here until Jacob and Joe have both posted their opening statements or the deadline has passed for them to post them. I will delete anything aside from their opening statements until then.

Hey everyone! I just wanted to start off by saying to Joe that I am happy that us rookie Kurma players made it to the very end!
Here we go, I started this game off with a partner like everyone else. For some, this was an advantage. For me, my flop of a partner was voted off first. (Love u cole). As someone who had never played a game like this before my first reaction was to be concerned about how this was going to go. Looking back, I realize now that Colton getting out was great for my overall game. I had the opportunity to make my own moves and develop my own relationships.
For the first half of the game, my goal was to make merge. I had to have a way to get there. So I decided to align with people on both side of my original tribe. I chose to talk to almost everyone on my original tribe, and my post-tribe swap Kurma. There were times when I had to make decisions as to which side I needed to pick. It got tricky but I made sure to think about who I needed to cut off. For example, I got to know Kristina and Dakota, but I ended up voting Dakota out because I knew the numbers were not there to continue with them.
Once I finally made it passed the merge I was fortunate enough that people on the original Vamana tribe made themselves targets. This gave me time to get to know more people like Setsu, James, and David. I began to develop relationships with these people. At the same time, I was also sticking with my original Kurma tribe. For the most part I had my ears on both sides of this game. These many relationships allowed me to get the numbers to save myself a couple times, and go after people who I thought were major threats.
As the game was winding down, I started to lose my allies. I was betrayed a couple of times and I needed a way to get out of it. Thankfully, I had other close people besides my main alliance. The original Kurma of John, Sammy, Joe, and myself turned into 6 when I became allies with James and David. My goal was to keep us all together and to be a majority. This worked for a while but things started to changed and the idols ruined this plan. I had to be adaptable and convince other such as Jonas and Dewie that I didn’t know what I was doing and I wasn’t a threat. This helped get any target that was ever on me off and onto others. I got to work my way to the end.
Overall, I may not have had the most outward strategy, but trust me, strategy was involved in pretty much everything that I did. I played a fluid, but strong game. I believe I played a great social game and deserve to be the sole survivor.

Hello Jury, it was a long two and a half months but I finally made it to the Final Tribal Council. I honestly did not expect to make it to the final two, let alone the merge. I felt like an outsider in contrast to the rest of the people that knew each other coming into this game and yet here I am. When I first started playing Survivor online, I was always targeted and eventually voted out for trying to be the guy to make big moves or make myself the biggest threat of the cast and eventually, I became an under-the-radar type of player that slithered as far as I could surviving Tribal after Tribal and here it turned out to be no different. Starting from the beginning, I was on the outside and it was until after the Jude vote, I picked up a little momentum when John talked to me, establishing a connection. This eventually blossomed into an alliance with Sam and Jabbar with side relationships with Kristina and Jacob with the latter also becoming another alliance. I could have easily been an early boot but I changed my position around and got out potential power players in James and Dakota. When the tribal swap happened, I thought that was going to be the end for me but luckily my loved one Setsu was there with me along with Jonas and James who I talked to during my time on the new Vamana tribe. The four of us banded together and took out Kristina and Josh and after that, the merge happened. Setsu left and despite that, I was able to rekindle past relationships and worm my way back into the good graces that voted out my loved one when they could have voted me out soon after. I suggested the idea to split up the last couple standing which was Dewie and Jon and with the four rookies along with James and David, that Tribal ended in my favor with Dewie leaving and afterward I began slipping into UTR mode. Once idols began to pop up at Tribal, everything got crazy and I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t the one to have my name written down and potentially fall victim to a hidden immunity idol. The moment Jonas left thanks to Jon swapping his vote, I was able to make another connection with him because of that. Despite not getting 7th, I believe I would have been 6th had I not talked to Jon. In the final five, I wanted the final three to be Jon, Jacob and myself since I believed Sam and Stan were the biggest threats to take to Final Tribal Council at that point. Then when Nate dropped the bomb that it was a final two and not a final three, I had secure enough connections at that point where the outcome did not matter as I knew I was not getting voted out. While my physical game was admittedly lacking, I believe my strategic and social games made up for it. I always tried to be in the loop when it came to Tribal and I was technically in the majority for all but one vote at Tribal Council despite hidden immunity idols obviously getting in the way of a few votes. When my name kept getting written down, I took a step backward and not do as much to be threatening to others and when I had to make the move that was necessary, I went through the pros and cons before making a final decision. After David left, I put myself in a situation where bringing me to the end was the best move for everyone else and as I said before, when Nate revealed the final two, I was prepared and put myself in an outcome that guaranteed myself a spot in the Final Tribal Council. I covered my bases, I made the necessary connections to get far and when I was not making them, I wanted people to come to me. I was able to make it out in one piece in every Tribal Council I’ve been to, which was all but two of them, despite being a target at multiple Tribals with 15 votes overall cast against me and not once did I have immunity or a hidden immunity idol. If I had to describe my game with one word, it would definitely be “subtle.” While my game wasn’t subtle enough to avoid getting votes, it was so in which there was always bigger fish to fry and since I knew my physical game was not getting me anywhere, I wanted to present myself as the type of person anybody would want to bring to the end, thinking they can beat me and I feel as if I accomplished that plan. In conclusion, I just want to thank all of you for a great season despite all the negativity here and there and for helping me get to this point, as I know I did not make it here alone. I have not been in this spot since 2013 in a Survivor game, so I’m glad that my first Proboards ORG was also the first time since then I made it here. Thank you guys for reading, I know it was a lot. Good Luck to Jacob and Happy Asking!

I guess I'll kick this one off, then!
Hi, fellow newbies. I must say, while it's nice to see Kurma members at Final Tribal, I am a bit disappointed with this final 2. I don't think you guys were the best players past the merge, let alone the final 5. But, you guys beat me, so what do I know?
Jacob, in my opinion, you only played a social game. I know jack about what kind of strategic ability you have. What specific moves did you make to put yourself in the position to be here right now? What were the conscious decisions, other than, "I'll vote ____ because ____ told me to". I want to know that you didn't coast along and just find yourself here.
Joe, you played the worst game of any player in the merge. You didn't talk, you never strategized, and you didn't win any challenges. You say you played a subtle game, but I know what a subtle game looked like. David, for example, had a subtle game. To me, if just felt like you weren't even in this season. You didn't answer tribal council questions, you hardly replied in chats. Was that just me? Do you hate me? I know I backstabbed you, like, 96 times, but I would've loved for you to at least talk. The fact that you only just recently cracked 114 posts is very telling. So, please, tell me that you deserve to be here because you played a good game, not that you are here because everyone thought they will beat you.

Hi Sam, I always did my best to put in my two cents whenever we did talk and aside from that, I tried to talk in chats as much as I could but everyone just had more free time than I did during this game. Also not answering questions was part of my strategy as I did not want to potentially say anything that would warrant a vote to get rid of me. Anyway I deserve to be here because I felt like an underdog. I had a buddy like everyone in this game but I only got to actually play with him a for a few rounds and I always seemed to be the target at most Tribals I've been to and yet I was able to make it out time after time.

Looking at my choices like: Honestly I think you both were pretty irrelevant. I don't really care... your openings were too long for me to bother reading them as well. I will probably just vote for Joe for the lolz... I mean.. because he played the better game.

Alright guys, I guess I'll ask some questions now rather than later. My mind is all but made up, so while I do have a pretty good idea of who I want to vote for I still implore both of you to answer the questions because realistically if you don't show any interest in getting my vote then I have no interest in giving it to you. I have two questions for the both of you to answer then a personalized question for each of you. For both: In a game like Survivor, there are very few players who are capable of making it to where you currently sit entirely on their own. I don't believe either of you are the type of player that could do it without help, to be fair I don't think anyone on this cast really is, however my first question is out of any player on the cast who do you feel like most helped you in getting to where you currently sit? That doesn't have to be someone who directly worked with you, it could be someone you were able to rally around as a common enemy, but what player in this game most contributed to you being where you sit other than yourselves? My second question is what obstacles did you have to overcome to get to where you're currently sitting? What was the story of your journey? Was it a coast to the end because everyone thought they could beat you like it might seem, or did you have to fight of everything you got in this game one round at a time? Now my question for Jacob : This is a pretty simple one and one that has been on my mind for the entire duration of this game, did Cole at any point for any reason to accomplish any thing what so ever, ever log on to your account for any amount of time during the time from when this game started to right now and/or feed you information from outside this game that could benefit you in any way? My question for joeker : You say you played a subtle game and made it to where you sit because of your relationships, from the outside looking in it appears to me that your social game or lack there of was actually the reason you got 15 (or whatever you said it was) votes during this game. You were at no point a threat to anyone and were hardly ever more than a number to most, and yet time and time again you found yourself getting votes. Why is this assessment wrong? Because we personally spent 8 rounds together, to be fair not as many as some people spent with you, and you and I never had a single meaningful conversation even when we were working together it was always me talking to setsu and him telling you what to do. How is that indicative of relationship building or are Sammy and I just the exceptions to your social game? No hard feelings you guys, I really mean that, one of you guys will be crowned the Winner and the other will get the Vova 2nd Place Participation trophy, neither of those things are to be scoffed at so good job ya guys.

Hey guys,
Good job and glory be to God.
I'm going to save the pageantry because this night is about you two, not us jurors talking about how great we are or how we'd all make better winners than you two... because at the end we were not able to make it and God desired you two to be in the end. That being said I only have two questions, and they're both general:
1) If you could, please outline at what point in the game every single juror truly "lost" the game. I would like to see how perceptive and in-tune to the game you both where. Please do not just say "when so and so got voted out", I'm more talking about what move started the decline of all of our games in your eyes. For example: Cole's downfall was being overly confident and telling Jonas he was going to go home in a rude way, leading to the idol play.
2) This one is more important to me, and will be how I base my vote. In what way did you honor God this game, and how did you exemplify His grace and glory with integrity, honor and love?
Also remember this: God has a plan, so no matter what happens tonight neither one of you should be sad. You've done your best and have we all been a part of the glorious instruction of God. I leave you with a simple but powerful verse that will help you throughout your life. 1 Corinthians 16:14 reads: Do everything in love.
Good luck my friends, and congratulations!

Yeah, if you guys could answer our questions instead of just acknowledging they exist that'd be greeeeatttt Good thorough answers take time Sammy. Give them a chance to gather their thoughts and get them written down. This isn't like a real life FTC where they must answer in person immediately. This process will most likely take a couple days at the least. Be patient.

Hey guys! First I'll say a huge congratulations for being here. As two of the few people I talked to and actually got to know, I'm very happy for you. Since there were some times in which we did talk a little strategy, I won't sit on my high horse and call you irrelevant. With that being said, you two did play a decidedly less pronounced game than anyone on the jury so you could see how many could view the claim of "under the radar" as an excuse to defend your "bad game play." I think a sentiment people feel is that you both went along with the flow too often to warrant the win and I don't necessarily disagree with them. So to show that you at least considered acting on your own or to show that you are a more strategic player than people think, can you both please describe a big move you were going to make, how that move would be beneficial to you, how you were going to get that done, and your reasoning in the end as to why you didn't make that move?
