Have to make that my first post each season so people can comeback and see how genius I am if I ever actually win
I'm glad to be back playing the best survivor game on the internet. Been too long. Wasn't sure if I'd have the time or a partner to do this, but it worked out. My roommate watches Survivor and with us on winter break we'll have time to do it. I really only needed him to play so that I could play again. I definitely want to finish further than him. It could honestly benefit me if he gets voted out pre-merge, people without "loved ones" usually do better in these seasons. This season is all about me
I'm pretty pleased with my tribe. James is my guy even though we only talk like once a year. We trust each other. I also have Cole and Stan. I've worked with them before and can trust them hopefully. I told Cole I have no hard feelings abt all stars
Dscott and Josh idk at all but I reached out to them to try to get on their good side. I've heard they're loyal and cool.
jonas and setsu I also don't know anything about, but they seem to be early targets according to james, cole and stan. I know jonas was a wild card this season. I haven't reached out to either yet, giving it some time. Jonas is too unpredictable, and if setsu thinks I'm downloading skype to talk with him, he can take a long walk off a short peer.
Dewie I don't have a good history with because of All-stars, but I reached out to him to mend the fences, and we seem to be getting along pretty well. He thinks he's an early target and he could be right, but I want to get on his good side. I don't know Jon at all, but the fact that they're a loved ones pair on the same side makes them dangerous.
Right now, I created a 3 person PM with cole and stan "Three Neat Dudes." Hopefully we can run the game together. I created the pm and didn't want to include James because idk how much they trust him and I don't want them thinking I'm more loyal to James then them. Ideally, us four, dscott and josh can have a solid alliance.
Not being on this site a lot hurts because I dont know relationships, but I know Cole and stan are close, and apparently they connect with dscott an josh a bit (according to James). Dewie told me that James and Dscott are "talk on the phone" type friends which is bizarre. I also know Dewie and James don't like each other, which is good. Hopefully they'll target each other before me, hopefully it's not all a show.
So right now I'm just gathering as much info as possible. I want to make sure I'm not seen as a threat. I also hope there's no like secret relationships that I don't know about on our tribe. But overall, I'm pleased with how the game is started

Also, this is my first season without Vova, so it should be my best. I want to improve my finish again with a 7th or higher finish. Part of me thinks I'm gonna be an early boot, part of me thinks I'm gonna win. I want to remain loyal to my allies as much as possible, but my past two seasons i was on the wrong side of a big move and got betrayed by allies. This season, I want to strike first.
Not sure if the approach I want to take is lying low or being a more dominant force. Cole wants to lay low, and me creating the pm with cole and stan and reaching out to all these people may make it look like I'm playing too hard already, but whatever. It's important to play hard at the begining of the game to make sure you're in a good alliance

It seems like Jonas is the vote tonight. I didn't care abt winning immunity because I didn't want to have to move anyone back and make them mad at me, so I barely gave an effort. I feel like I should be safe.
I've talked to dscott and josh more separately and seem to get along well with them. We have a 6 person group pm of us 3, cole, james, and stan. That should be a solid 6 and majority. There was some disagreement on who to vote for though. James and Cole want Dewie out, but Stan wants Jonas Setsu out. Ultimately Stan got his way and people are settling on Jonas. I said I was fine either way because I didn't want to cause trouble. Jonas is a more dangerous play because he's got a loved one on other side and is kind of a wild card. I don't mind keeping Dewie around because he has nothing on the otherside and barely anyone on this side. Also I want to keep him and James fighting. If there's conflict on your tribe that doesn't involve you, that's always good.
I may pm Dewie and tell him vote isn't for him just to stay on his good side. I may want to use him and Jon later if I need them to make a big move. I don't want to alienate non-allies this time. I learned that from all-stars. I lied and lied and lied in all stars to non allies and that prob didn't help. This time, no reason to do that. I can be straight up to Dewie and no reason to lie to Jonas or setsu. They haven't messaged me, I won't message them.
Then there's the paranoia that this is all an act and I'm going home in a surprise blindside but let's hope not

well that was an interesting tribal council. Sad to see Cole go, can't believe Jonas found the idol.
There's been a lot of piecing together of what happened. I talked to almost everyone to find out (good gameplay by me nbd), and here's what I've gathered
me stan cole josh dscott voted for Jonas
James voted for Dewie because he found out last minute about the idol
Jonas, Jon, Dewie worked together to take out Cole and knew Jonas had the idol
Setsu voted for Dewie because that's all that's left.
So us 5 still have a majority, it seems like dewie, jon, and jonas are a trio, or at least were for that vote, and setsu is kind of floating.
Stan got really mad at James for not saying anything abt the idol. James said he found out late and didn't want to confuse people. I privately told James I thought it was smart and then told Stan I thought it was dumb. I do think it was questionable, but whatever. James just has a blind hate for dewie that could be trouble. Then James got upset at how mad Stan got and says we can't trust Stan. He wants to create a four person with me him dscott and josh. I'd be down for that, the more alliances the better. But I'm afraid that Stan is closer to dscott and josh than we think and that those two would run and tell stan if me and james tried creating a foursome with them. But James and Dscott are really close apparently, so maybe we can swing it.
I'm also talking to Jonas and Dewie. I told Jonas straight up I voted for him and that there's no hard feelings. He gets it, and wants to work with me. He says that Dscott and Josh are dangerous, and I agree. They're like a loved ones pair themselves, plus they have their actual loved ones. That's a strong 4. However, I do like both of them and think they're trustworthy.
And Dewie and I continue to talk but I think he still doesn't like me haha. But whatever, I think I'm getting more on his good side.
Next vote I want to take out someone from the trio of Dewie, Jon, Jonas. I'd like Jon because he's less likely to play an idol and I have no relationship with him.
I'm thinking of reaching out to Setsu and seeing if he wants to have a secret alliance. He seems to be in no man's land, and he could be a valuable number to pick up.
It seems like I'm almost playing the double agent role again though, which I did a lot of in All stars. I've been trying to avoid that but everyone wants to work with me so what can I do? I'm glad I haven't really lied to anyone yet, or else I could've been the target last night. Jonas messaged me last night to see where my head was at. I didn't respond because it was late and I didn't want to mess anything up. Good thing I didn't. If I said something he didn't like, maybe they vote for me instead of Cole.
And lastly, Cole going home may not be the worst thing in the world. I like him, but he's a really good player and he's blindsided me before, he prob would again.

Not heading to tribal, which is nice. Only one that lost the immunity challenge for my tribe but who cares? Nate you have dumb rules. Everyone knows I'm not a weak challenge competitor.
james is playing reallly hard. He created a five man alliance with me him josh dscott and setsu. Setsu could be a valuable number but idk him that well. We have a private pm but he doesn't talk much in it. He has a lot of confessionals though and I know he's a good player, I'm weary of him.
me and jonas continue to talk a lot. We have like 4 pages in a private pm of just us 2. He seems to really trust me. He says we should have the targets to target josh/dscott,but that's only counting me. Idk if that means he has setsu too. He also mentioned targeting Stan, I told him i'm better with Stan that dscott or josh, but we'll see what happens. I'm just trying to come off to Jonas as kind of an idiot. Don't want him thinking I'm too good of a player/threat. Just letting him do the talking for now. But Jonas seems like a good guy and smart player. I do kind of like him, but that's why he has to go. He's proving how dangerous he is by showing his social game with me. I'd like him out next.
I haven't told james stan or anyone that I'm talking to Jonas and that he want to target stan/dscott/dewie. No reason to bring that up yet. Next time we go to TC, I can. But no reason to spill the beans already and risk them running to jonas and then he'd know I'm not acutally with him. Don't want to risk that. I feel like we can go on an immunity run and may not go to TC til a swap or merge, and I'll want to have as many guys as possible on my side.
Not sure what's happening at the other TC. John told me he thinks he's safe but also that he may be on the outs of that alliance. I'm trying to stay out of that tribe. I can't be worrying about two tribes.

there's so much going on. I'm sick IRL so I'm kind of out of it, but I have to get focused because no matter what, this is going to be the toughest vote I've ever made in this series.
To catch things up, Jonas figured out the idol puzzle and shared it with me. I was shocked. We've talked a bit, but not enough. Either he really does trust me, or he has it already and that's the only reason he feels comfortable sharing. I only told Stan about it. He's the only one I trust enough really at this point, and I wanted to let him know that Jonas has a legit chance of having the idol. I told him a couple days after Jonas told me though. Wanted a few guesses for myself. But I just told Stan that I had just gotten it.
So we lost immunity because Sam is a machine. I was originally hoping for an easy vote of setsu or jonas. I want Jonas out but I'm afraid he has the idol. But I couldn't tell everyone why I was so afraid. So the plan was just for me james stan dscott and josh to vote Jonas, but make everyone think it's Setsu so Jonas doesn't play an idol.
I was fine with that, but then James approached me with an idea of voting Stan out. I am NOT thrilled with that. I trust Stan a ton. As much, or more than I trust James. Maybe Stan just blows smoke up my a** but he always talks about trusting me so much and how he wants me to go far in this game. Maybe I'm naive, but I trust him. He's more loyal to me than jonas/setsu and he's less threatening. Stan is unlikely to have the numbers to pull a vote on me, and I don't think he would. Jonas is only worried about Jonas and that's dangerous.
james says we have the numbers to do it, it would be him jonas (who he says came up with the idea), jon setsu and maybe josh. James says he has jon and setsu in his back pocket and that worries me. I don't know if I'll be in a majority with the 8 we have left if we vote out Stan. I don't like the idea of James pulling all the strings and me just blindly following him. I don't need to be in a power position, but I need to have some power.
So, I'm thinking of doing the unthinkable: voting out James
I just don't like how little he listened to me when I told him I'm really not comfortable with the Stan vote. He is connected to basically everyone in this game. I know keeping him around has his merits because he's such a big threat that he can act as a shield, but who says I'll be in that position to use him as a shield?
If I vote out James, Stan's loyalty to me will be unquestioned. I will have saved him. I also trust Dscott and Josh, who Stan had a pregame with, so I can trust them. Then my fifth vote would have to be Dewie.
Can't have Jonas since it was his idea to begin with to get Stan out
Can't use Jon or setsu because James has them tight apparently
That leaves Dewie. I don't think he has bad blood with Stan but he does hate James. That could be valuable.
I think the move is to approach dewie stan josh and dscott and make these pitches
dscott- he's not even in on the stan plan, so he'd be down (I made sure he wasn't by asking James)
josh- jonas has talked about what a threat he is, and josh likes stan. Easy pitch to go with stan over someone who wants him out and company
stan- that one is self explanatory
dewie- he's the only one I've talked to yet. I asked if he's heard about the stan plan, knowing he had. He said he's not thrilled but what choice does he have?
That tels me I could get him on board.Him and James don't get along. The only question is will he run and tell Jon who will then run and tell James? Hopefully not, I'll tell Dewie how James told me that he thinks Jon is closer to him (james) than dewie.
It's a risky move. If it doesn't work, I may go home this week if word gets out, or I may go home next week if I don't have the numbers and I'm then in a minority.
But I like my chances more of making a deep run with stan dscott josh dewie and possibly jon if he'll work with us after James gets out, than I do with a bunch of people I've had limited contact with.
It would be a huge move and I'll feel bad for betraying james, but it may be the move to make. I like to lay low premerge and then go balls out in merge, but who says I'll get that chance this game?

This is going to be a wild tribal. Our tribe is unbelievably dysfunctional. We're a bunch of chickens without a head. Just running all over with no sense of purpose and running into walls and falling over. It's madness
I think I'm set on voting James though
Dewie said he's on board. Stan is on board too. I messaged Jon but he never responded, but Stan said Jon told him he's down. He was mad James said he's in his backpocket.
Stan also said that Jonas told him he's on board and possibly setsu, which is odd. I'm surprised they'd be down but I talked to Jonas about it and he seems to be interested.
Dscott and josh are frustrating to work with. They just want Jonas out, but that's not happening anymore. THey need to wake up. i have no idea where their heads are at.
I'm voting James and seeing where the pieces fall

I have no hard feelings towards you. It's an online game we both enjoy but means nothing in the grand scheme of things. You enjoy it more than I do and can give it more time than I would've been able to. I'm glad you got to play for awhile.
