Honestly, There were alot of Road Rulers whom were gone too soon from this show.

Yeah, competitive wise I'd say Chadwick, Christian, Antoine, Christena, Ellen and Holly (RR9). Personality wise, I'd say Los, Belou, Piggy, Kendal, Christina and Ayanna.

I'm sure Shelley is probably married (and therefore as a different last name) and lives outside of Oklahoma which is why its so hard to find her.

Last I heard, Shelly is married with children and still lives in Oklahoma. She may go by the first name Nina as well.

Yeah, I feel borderline creepy finding that, but after watching season 1 again I needed to know. Glad others were wondering too!
I would love to know what Los and Shelly are up to, so maybe I'll research them as well. Also, Piggy would be a great find.

Do y'all know any Road Rules casting stories? I always like hearing about those.
-They REALLY wanted Chadwick to be on the Real World but he refused to do any show other than Road Rules
-Erika was originally cast on RW: Boston but they later asked her which show she wanted to do and she chose Road Rules
-Jon made the finals of casting for Real World: Miami but didn't make the show. They later called him back and asked him to be on Northern Trail
-Vince almost didn't make it past the first round of casting because his tape sucked; the casting directors kept him in the running "just in case" and he did end up redeeming himself to make the show
-The producers were looking for a strong, manly guy from Puerto Rico to be on Islands but they were won over by Oscar's personality
-Kefla basically was sent straight to the finals of casting after he, by chance, had dinner with some casting directors and won them over with his personality. After dinner, they asked him if he would consider being on TV

I know that Kit went to RW London casting but was later offered RR, same with Mark on RW San Francisco.

Great info guys, I never knew most of it. One I know of that wasn't posted is Pawel only doing Semester At Sea because he wanted to go on a cruise trip after failing from a pervious try, which obviously means he wouldn't have been on Road Rules had they stuck with the Winnebago for season eight.

One I know of that wasn't posted is Pawel only doing Semester At Sea because he wanted to go on a cruise trip after failing from a pervious try, which obviously means he wouldn't have been on Road Rules had they stuck with the Winnebago for season eight. Oh yeah, I saw that he had applied for the Semester at Sea program three times previously and couldn't go because it was too expensive. Makes me wonder how the casting for that show went. I guess they went and asked SAS applicants if they wanted to be on the show? Maybe that's how they ended up with such a boring guys' cast LOL. |
