I thought this would be an interesting thread to share books that you love and hopefully get everyone to read new books as well. Because I really love to read and would like some recommendations. Here are some of my recommendations that I think a few of you may enjoy, if you haven't already. I have a wide variety of reads, so if you have read any of them I'd like your opinions. *The Hunger Games Trilogy - Suzanne Collins *Ender's Game - Orson Scott Card *Harry Potter - JK Rowling *One Day - David Nicholls *Confessions of a Shopoholic Series - Sophie Kinsella (or anything else from her) *Dexter Series - Jeff Lindsay *The Great Gatsby - F. Scoot Fitzgerald *1984 - George Orwell *The Giver - Lois Lowry *Holes - Louis Sacher *Midsummer Night's Dream - William Shakespeare *Anything from Roald Dahl *The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe - CS Lewis *And Then There Were None - Agatha Christie *Death of a Salesman - Arthur Miller *Fahrenheit 451 - Ray Bradbury *The Glass Castle - Jeannette Walls *Lord of the Flies - William Golding *Alice in Wonderland - Lewis Carroll *Bridge to Terabithia - Katherine Paterson *Dash and Lily's Book of Dares - Rachel Cohn, David Levithan *Bossypants - Tina Fey

I still need to read Mockingjay but I'll probably wait till I watch Catching Fire If you had said any of the other 2 books, I would have said you should read it immediately, but Mockingjay isn't the best one, in my opinion. It can wait. Also, I've started reading Divergent (I know Elle's read it), but I haven't even finished it and I think you guys should give it a go. It's a really good one.

Ohh, I didn't even notice! Yeah, I've read Divergent and Insurgent multiple times. They're really good. Divergent starts off slow but once it gets going it's really great. I'm pissed with the movie casting but I'm warming up to nearly everyone but Shailene Woodley. Sigh. She's also playing Hazel in TFiOS, god help us all.
And yeah, Alaska was great but TFiOS is like 30000 times better. There's no describing it really. The general plot doesn't sound like anything amazing and it's hard to explain, but once you read it you just get it. My mom didn't want to read it at all but I made her and she loved it. I literally danced around the driveway when my pre-ordered copy came in the mail. One of the most brilliant and moving books I've ever read, and I've read a lot.

Haha Brooke and Elle. The Fault and Looking For Alaska are two of my favorites.
I'm on my first mystery novel Storm Front by Richard Castle, and I'm loving it.

I'm reading this book my aunt gave me, "The Paladin Prophecy" and it's pretty good. It's like Harry Potter meets Alex Rider. And apparently they're already planning a movie in 2014.

I just read "The Testing" by Joelle Charbonneau and I really enjoyed it. It's about how they choose all these recently graduated high schoolers to participate in a series of tests to let them know if they are capable of being the future of the government and if they can later run the country, etc. It's really good in my opinion and if you enjoy the Hunger Games, Divergent, or The Maze Runner, then you'll enjoy this one.

Alright so if anybody here watches Castle, I'd highly recommend the books. I finished the first one I bought, and I liked it enough to buy the other 4 books in print.

So I read another post-apocolyptic book called, "Legend" by Marie Wu and I really liked it. It was unique in the sense that every other chapter was told from a different perspective (the main guy and the main girl). But here's a short synopsis:
"What was once the western United States is now home to the Republic, a nation perpetually at war with its neighbors. Born into an elite family in one of the Republic's wealthiest districts, fifteen-year-old June is a prodigy being groomed for success in the Republic's highest military circles. Born into the slums, fifteen-year-old Day is the country's most wanted criminal. But his motives may not be as malicious as they seem.
From very different worlds, June and Day have no reason to cross paths - until the day June's brother, Metias, is murdered and Day becomes the prime suspect. Caught in the ultimate game of cat and mouse, Day is in a race for his family's survival, while June seeks to avenge Metias's death. But in a shocking turn of events, the two uncover the truth of what has really brought them together, and the sinister lengths their country will go to keep its secrets."
