I hated reading as a kid until I started ASOUE... after that I literally became addicted! first to mysteries, then simply adventure novels, and then just regular adult fiction. It really started it all. So happy Daniel Handler managed to get this back in the works and he even wrote all of the episodes, as far as i'm aware haha... the movie was good but i've always wanted a true adaption of all 13 books. So happy that this actually looks good!! reminds me of Pushing Daisies with the dark matter mixed with whimsical over the top characters and settings. I can't wait!!!
Also, did anyone read All The Wrong Questions? It was actually a great prequel to the series! I'd love to see Netflix adapt it after ASOUE finishes.

Im almost finished rereading The Miserable Mill in preparation! worst book of the series imo Yano I thought that too but I'm on chapter 11 and I'm enjoying it more than I remember. I think I like it more than Reptile Room.

Yeah I can't really remember most of them because it's been years since I've read them. I need to find my books and read them again.

Yeah I can't really remember most of them because it's been years since I've read them. I need to find my books and read them again. same! i read them over 10 years ago. had to go look up the titles.. that list is basically from what i can remember liking haha i remember i loved the ersatz elevator because it was really when we started to get a few answers and i remember the ending having an epic twist. reptile room always has a special place in my heart because Monty was the only good caregiver the children ever had imo haha and who wouldn't want to live in a mansion that was also a zoo? I don't really remember anything about the last few books on my list so that order is all over the place. did you guys read All The Wrong Questions? (it's the prequel series to ASOUE about snicket's childhood and how he joined the VFD) i'd highly recommend it if you want to feel nostalgic while also learning new things about the snicket universe

Come to think of it... I never finished the series lmao. I'm trying to remember what happens at the end but I don't know lmao. Now I'm trying to remember what I read past, no clue lmao. Also just realized the all the titles are alliterations 🤔

Squeezed in the first epi before I had to go to work. It was lit. Very true to the books and a nice new part of the story that I think will answer the questions that were annoyingly left unanswered in The End.

It's everything I've always wanted and more and I've only seen one episode. Neil Patrick Harris is perfect.

I wanna re read the books again ugh. It's worth it! They're surprisingly really good reads even as an adult. A good amount of humor meant more for adults I didn't notice before.
