Johnny is definitely not the best competitor, he made it to my list because he gets casted on every season now a days, he is either loved or hated by challenge fans and he has a good political game. I made the list based on people who I think of when I hear the Challenge. I don't follow anyone on twitter/facebook whatever social media platform either and only follow Emily S and Evan on instagram. I would say.....CT, Derrick, Abram, Johnny and Wes are the top five for males. While Coral, Katie, Veronica, Diem and Rachel are top five for the females. i have a tough time putting abeam b/c he disappears in the off season. which is not a bad thing it's just he isn't a so called "face of the challenge".

She was one of the first to really start playing the Cutthroat game that is so common place today. She manipualted and schemed in a way that would influence several other challengers after her. She was one of the first to set the tone of the challenges so for that I think she deserves #1

I think this is the scientific order of household/iconic males.
(1) Johnny Bananas
Is this even debatable? His name is synonymous with The Challenge. The guy has appeared on 13/16 challenges ever since he's been available as a possible participant since his Real World season. He's the franchise of the show and will probably die with it. Johnny Bananas has no shame in admitting that the Challenge is pretty much his life, as it is, because you can argue he has made an affordable living off the shows by competing in them. Not only is his veteran appearance pay pretty large, he nearly always makes the end of every challenge he's done, meaning he gets paid a good amount of money.
Signature Season: The Island
(2) CT Tamburello
Has the "IT" Factor that no one in the show's history has ever come close to possessing the same way he has. His competitiveness and character combined make him one of the most iconic household names in challenge history. CT was banned for quite some time for almost killing Adam on the Duel 2, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise because his second chance tenure is what made him become the popular challenger he is today. He made a special one night return on Cutthroat carrying Banana like a Backpack, which made noise all around the world. On his return on Rivals, he came back scarier than ever, starting a classic rivalry with Wes, and the very next challenge, his relationship with Diem reignited exciting old fans.
Signature Season: Rivals
(3) Wes Bergmann
The greatest villain in challenge history (even though it's hard to define what a villain is in these shows, since most of them are a**holes). Known for his manipulative tactics and always opposing the members of the JEK Dynasty. Wes has never dissappointed in the realm of playing a character you love to hate. Without Wes, all of Johnny, Kenny, and Evan would have never had real opposition through the course of their challenge careers. Wes is without a doubt a future Challenge hall of Famer for all that he's done in his 10 years of existence as a challenge player.
Signature Season: The Ruins
(4) Kenny Santucci
Was "The Guy" for quite some time until he was unfortunately banned from the challenges. You could very well argue he'd be #1 on this list today, if it wasn't for him being blacklisted on BMP's contact list. Who knows how many challenges Kenny could have gone on to participate in and bless with his presence. Kenny never possessed the same competitive qualities that some of the competitor greats like CT and Landon had, but his charisma and personality was untouchable whenever the cameras were around. Unique challenge personalities are hard to come by on these shows, and Kenny was definitely one of them. He played the douchey a**hole character that people loved to root for. He's also arguably one of the greatest players to ever lace up the boots, due to his social and political prowess.
Signature Season: Fresh Meat 2
(5) Derrick Kosinski
The most universally liked challenger of all time? I think so. CT, Wes, all of JEK, and all the other big names that have graced the Challenge throughout the years have had their fans and their haters. Derrick, on the other hand, has had mostly positive reception in the community of challenge fans. What's great about Derrick is, we've seen him grown up before our eyes. His whole challenge career is a reflection of his personal growth. Always being a dominant competitor, Derrick started off his time on the shows as a kid who was always drinking, while being loud and obnoxious at times. Slowly, Derrick began to change, started showing signs of maturity, getting married with a kid, and leaving all the drunken drama to his fellow castmembers. Also, ironically enough, Derrick's character growth also correlated into his performance, as he finished out his career with 3/4 wins, after starting 0/5.
Signature Season: Gauntlet 2

He's top 5 in drama, and is arguably the greatest competitor. CT: signature season- Duel Wes:- Fresh meat or Duel. Wes was a legend before ruins Kenny: I'd say ruins at the latest but probably Island also. Do females next

I chose Derrick, because he's more of a fan favorite, and one of the ONLY challengers who really had a story-like career on the Challenge. Mark Long also never had a season like Derrick's Gauntlet 2. If there was a challenge logo, however, Mark's a shoe-in for taking that spot, like the Jerry West of the NBA.

Bananas is a regular (someone who appears often), doesn't make him more iconic than CT cause CT had a way larger impact on the Challenge throughout his years.
